I am a queer, affirming therapist. I am non-denominational, but am spiritual in realms of Pagan and Astrology with a splash of Buddhist practices. I am what you get and know my style isn’t for everyone. I believe I can provide a safe, inclusive, and inviting energy and space whether online or in person.

You were not born inherently flawed, you were not born to suffer, but maybe somewhere along the way, your brain received this information, shaping the way you live your life. The isolation, guilt, shame, anger, and sadness often feel inescapable, making it difficult to ask for and accept help from others. You may feel stuck in a loop of harmful and problematic behaviors, thoughts, relationships- you know something isn’t working, but can’t seem to figure out why or where to begin to start feeling better.

Thinking and feeling in ways that allow you to engage your daily life, others, and your personal goals with energy, creativity, and effectiveness is the thrust of my approach and practice. Identifying patterns that restrict cognitive and behavioral functioning, preventing understanding and integration of personal and interpersonal dynamics is a key focus. Increasing self awareness and understanding through enhancing mindfulness, expanding thinking about self and others, and developing behavior patterns that mobilize personal strengths, assets, and motivation is the goal of the work.

Working from a multicultural perspective that employs a Person-centered approach, I am able to gain a holistic perspective of you. Throughout your therapy, we will collaborate as we tend to your inner life; both the light and shadow. I will listen to you closely with care and curiosity, and without judgment. I align closely with Jungian theory and primarily use Psychodynamic Therapy. By helping you find and recognize patterns in your emotions, thoughts, and beliefs, you can gain insight into yourself. I find this approach fosters individuation and integration, allowing for wholeness and becoming the highest version of yourself.

Have you spent your life overachieving, working hard, taking care of others, doing all the right things, and yet thing aren't working out how you expected them to? Are your relationships very often one-sided, where you give a lot but no one takes care of you? I see you. My practice focuses on those who have "done all the right things," and are wondering why things are still so hard. Unfortunately, being hard on ourselves, working hard, achieving all the things, and taking care of everyone around us doesn't often lead to the sort of healing and peace we long for.

I find that many people just want to feel better, be happier, feel less anxious. They want to change their lives or at least become aware of their desire to improve the situation. I like the challenge of assisting people with self-limiting beliefs that can create anything less than a fulfilled and happy life. I enjoy helping people with their relationships, marital or otherwise and relish working with couples, helping them redefine their differences, improve communication and rejuvenate their intimacy, sexuaI and emotional.

I am supported by frameworks such as somatic integration (TRM), psychoeducation rooted in neuroscience, relational theory (The Gottman Method), & transpersonal & ecological therapies.
I believe that we all deserve a space that feels nurturing, empowering, creative, affirming and accepting of all parts of us, especially when exploring life challenges and learning about ourselves. Through a relational therapeutic approach, I feel this emerges when we collaboratively create a relationship together; through experiencing relationships that reflect safety and the exploration of relationships, learning and insights naturally unfold. My intention is to emphasize your strengths and resources, offer flexible interventions, and to bring in humor, delight and play whenever possible.

I am trained in in the areas of somatic therapy and the contextual and behavioral sciences including mindfulness, body-oriented trauma resolution, embodied boundaries and communication, the experiential arts, and transpersonal-based modalities.
The easiest way to schedule is through my website and the best contact is email. Change, although inevitable, can be difficult and feel ruthless especially when life takes a turn you don't expect. We can start feeling lost, alone and out of touch with ourselves and those around us. Each of us are vulnerable to the pain, grief and the uncertainty of the human condition. In this way, I believe we can each benefit from a safe and non-judgmental space that allows us to put our guard down and encourages us to learn, be flexible and rest more fully into the natural process of simply being ourselves and listening to our own wounds.

At its core, therapy is about supporting a life lived with awareness and choice, which is not only the best way to honor it, but also to meet the suffering that comes with it. Jung says: "I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become". In a way both are true; the family we're born into, and life's events impact us deeply, and we can learn and grow through our experiences, the good and the bad, as opposed to letting them trap or control us. We can all lead lives consciously and choicefully.

More and more women today are feeling increasingly stressed and overwhelmed - anxious, hopeless, stuck, or depressed. Juggling work, children, relationships, personal development, and more is hard. My nurturing approach is one of genuine warmth and support, in an encouraging, judgment-free environment. I am both a life coach and therapist, helping to heal deep emotional pain, even the kind that seems unbearable. I use proven techniques, such as mindfulness, and energy healing as well. I also have extensive background in helping people explore their spiritual side, and specialty training in Maternal Mental Health.

I believe that “trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.” I work with those who have experienced various forms of trauma, including shock, developmental, medical, relational, and religious trauma. I also work with those experiencing forms of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and those experiencing systemic and cultural forms of oppression. I believe that everyone has the right to a nurturing and supportive space, and strive towards the ongoing creation of an inclusive environment for all.

I invite you to notice your breath and then notice what else is happening in your awareness. When we are offered the time and space to simply be present, we can often bring more awareness to what is here and now, slowing down and making more contact with what is true for us. With awareness, new choices can emerge, along with a greater ability to be with and work through what is painful and unresolved.

I am passionate about relationships. Maybe it's my Italian genes, or maybe it's my sense of family values. For whatever reason, I care about helping relationships survive and thrive. My training includes Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. What you can expect is a structured approach in which we specify goals and work to build strong emotional alliances. I facilitate your interaction as a couple to lead you into a deeper understanding of each other first, and then move on to problem-solving and practical decision-making.

Transpersonal Therapists

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
