Hi I’m Victoria! I graduated from Ursuline College with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Art Therapy. I’m an art therapist and a licensed professional counselor and am available for in-person as well as virtual sessions.

Life can seem overwhelming and intense, at times it may feel like the chaos and confusion are too much to bear on your own. Conflicts within ourselves, our spouses, family, friends and children arise, uncertainty of when it will end begins to consume us and starts to feel normal. Sometimes life has felt like this since childhood, carrying a weight that is too heavy, creating patterns and a lifestyle that just aren’t working. Children can experience intense and uncertain feelings, not knowing how to regulate their emotions, or seek out validation can lead to confusion that transpires into adulthood.

Change can feel scary and stressful. Standing at a crossroads can feel uncertain and overwhelming. Sometimes our life circumstances change, other times we decide that what we are doing now, is no longer working for us. My focus is working with people who are experiencing anxiety, depressed mood, grief, loss, addictions, trauma, PTSD, and other adjustments and life transitions. This could involve changes in relationships, family, spirituality, health, career, education, or living situation. It could include death, healing wounds and inner children, identifying and enforcing boundaries, and identifying and changing limiting beliefs.

As a therapist, I am dedicated to making the most of each session with my clients and value your choice to be in this journey. I strive to develop a respectful and trusting relationship creating a strong base for my client's journey, no matter what their age, working with young preschool-age children through adults. Making the decision to open your child, yourself or your family up to counseling takes courage! You will get a genuine and professional experience with each session as I view our work as collaborative toward change. I have additional training in trauma therapy, DBT, CBT, and I am a Registered Play Therapist.

I am a gender-affirming therapist and have completed certification requirements with WPATH, The World Professional Association for Transgender Health. I completed EMDR training with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I completed certification for treating ADHD. I am beginning the journey to becoming certified with AASECT the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. I love assisting clients in feeling more confident in their lives, handling emotional and mental stressors with greater ease, and developing a repertoire of coping skills to find their center under pressure.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults, and older adults with various mental health diagnoses. Areas of focus have included: depression, anxiety, grief, gender dysphoria, stress, trauma, DID, substance use, bipolar, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and ADHD. I also affirm LGBTQ and have had experience working with LGBTQ clients.

I am passionate about trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBQT concerns, personality disorders, and neurodivergence. An ideal client is an individual who has a growth mindset and explores their thoughts and feelings and how they impact their behavior. They may not understand how those thoughts derived from past experiences, but they are willing to open old wounds given the right tools. They feel safe and secure and want to heal through hard work and determination.

In my most recent job, I have found that domestic violence survivors and women who experience issues specific to being a woman have piqued my interest. As a therapist, the most rewarding thing is to guide women toward embracing themselves for who they are, heal past wounds, and empower them to live fully and authentically. I believe I have been given a purpose in this world to serve others, and that's what I was created to do.

I specialize in seeing clients who struggle with over-controlled personality types. Do you work too much? Want things to be perfect? Strongly dislike being out of control of situations? Or feel like you have to do things in order for them to be done correctly? My ideal client is simply a client looking to learn and grow. I have treated such a wide variety of diagnoses and people from all over the country. I am open to most clients as long as they are adults.
