Through life’s ups and downs, it is crucial for people to be seen, heard, and understood. It is through this validation that my goal is to be a consistent, constant support system for my clients through the ebbs and flows-good and bad. My contribution as a therapist is to provide a safe space for individuals to learn about themselves, explore their minds and hearts, and to challenge themselves when necessary. As for my approach, I often utilize Person Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as incorporating mindfulness techniques into treatment plans. I also integrate an eclectic approach to tailor to my clients needs.

Life is art. Imagine working on a masterpiece and you make a mistake or accidentally smudge the paint. Does that mistake mean throw the entire painting away? No. We make art from our imperfections. Therapy allows us to make art from our imperfections, it's just up to us if we want to do the work. I've worked in mental health for five years in various settings: schools, community, and at a mental health agency and have learned many things from my clients. By addressing those accidents, not to erase them, allows us to give them a new purpose within our masterpiece.

I do individual and couple therapy. I am often a good fit for clients who want to integrate a spiritual perspective into therapy. By spiritual I mean living authentically, finding deep purpose, forgiving oneself and others, having compassion for yourself and others in the face of life's inevitable challenges, and seeing the sacred in the ordinary. I work with people of different faiths and those with no particular belief. I mix creativity, humor, and metaphors into therapy and encourage "daily practice for the rest of your life" to keep growth going long after therapy concludes. I am a licensed psychologist and director of Person to Person Resources, Inc., a counseling practice employing 12 well-trained therapists. I have three decades of experience working with individuals and families navigating a host of difficulties. I have worked extensively in the area of domestic violence, offering local and national presentations, as well as having written a book chapter on the topic. I continue to offer consultations to medical and dental practices, as well as church staff on conflict resolution. In addition, I have worked with victims of abuse, and have created a safe, caring empathetic place for them to process their concerns. My experience has allowed me to develop the unique ability to bridge the gap between, offender/victim, teacher/student, caregiver/child, felon/community and individual/system.
