Hello! I am a board-certified Dance/Movement Therapist, EMDR certified and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with almost 25 years of experience in working with adolescents, adults and families. I have worked in a variety of settings, including a locked facility for juveniles, doctor offices within a hospital setting, a charter school which specialized in individualized and flexible strategies to teach the children, an adoption agency performing assessments and conducting birth parent counseling, and a community mental health center. I have been in private practice for the last 8 years.

I am a strength-based, integrative therapist who focuses on building resiliency and healing in adults, teens, and elderly clients. I received my BA in Sociology at the University of Akron in 2006 and my Masters degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in 2011. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2019. I have experience working with youth, individuals, and families in a variety of counseling settings. I utilize psychodynamic and family systems theories to guide my practice. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship.

Hello ,I have worked in outpatient settings, in hospitals, on disaster teams, in home-based programs, and overseas for military members and their families. My client-centered perspective utilizes tools of motivational interviewing, systems theory, developmental theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma focused, cognitive behavioral therapy. I hold a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Akron and obtained my master’s degree in community counseling from Malone University. Also, I earned a master’s degree in philosophy and am working on my doctorate at Walden University.

Jenny Lechter is skilled at working with clients seeking relief from overeating and other compulsive behaviors, relationship challenges, anxiety and many other negative thinking or behaving patters. Jenny is a change driven counselor, often using cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR. Jenny spent many years counseling within the LGBTQ+ community and is a proud ally. Prior to her counseling career, Jenny was an elementary school teacher in Broward county. Jenny is a warm, accepting and empathetic counselor who has several years of experience counseling adolescents and adults.

Building rapport is one of my main goals when working with my clients, because I do not think the counseling process can be successful without this. I graduated with my Master's in Counseling in 2014 from Adler University in Chicago, IL.

I have specialized in the healing of trauma for the last 31 years through individual, group, couples work. My expertise is EMDR. After 18 years of using this tool I am still amazed at how profoundly and quickly clients heal from tremendous pain and struggles. EMDR is often considered to be used only and primarily for a discreet trauma like a car accident. In fact, however, EMDR is a tool that incorporates how the brain processes information every night during REM sleep. Since our brains have REM daily, EMDR is a magnificient way to address most of life's problems.
