In life, we experience difficult times when we need someone to be an ear and listen, and there are times when our family and friends don't fully understand our situation and affliction. My passion is to empower adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and autism. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and supervisor, I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. My goal as a therapist is to provide an individualized approach to each client and meet them where they are. Clients who work with me can expect to be met with empathy and openness, as the therapeutic relationship is incredibly important. Clients can also expect to learn evidence-based skills to manage the symptoms they are experiencing, as well as tools to navigate situations occurring in their life. I see clients primarily at our Sheffield location and via Telehealth.

Duncan has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are healing from depression, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, life-adjustment issues, interpersonal difficulties, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and other mental health issues. Duncan also has profound experience specifically working with veterans and individuals who are struggling with substance use issues. He also has specialized licensing in providing chemical dependency therapy.

After ten years working in the mental health and addictions treatment field, I decided to open my own practice for a very specific reason. I have seen and experienced first-hand that the most significant relationship in one’s life is the relationship with one’s self. This relationship is oftentimes short-changed and harmed before it even has a chance to begin flourishing, based on circumstances, events, and environments. And, rather than focus solely on symptom management, I have seen the irrefutable benefit of digging in and focusing on what lies beneath the surface.

I am a firm believer that as humans, we grow in connection. Therapy can be a place where growth and healing can begin. I also believe that we are all bound to experience difficulty and pain throughout our lives. Throughout these ups and downs, I hope to come alongside you and provide a sense of acceptance, authenticity, and emotional safety. Ebb & Flow Counseling has found a home in the Greater Cleveland area! I have worked in many different settings and always felt like something was missing. Therefore I created this studio to help on a holistic level. My goal is to constantly evolve with the practice and learn relevant techniques. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as other symptoms. I have experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse as well as over 5 years of experience working in reproductive healthcare.
