My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to providing compassionate support and understanding to individuals on their path to mental well-being. Within the realm of counseling, I specialize in various areas, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), LGBTQIA+ affirmative counseling, ADHD, substance abuse, personality disorders, grief, chronic illness, pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum care, sleep/insomnia management, trauma, and PTSD.

I specialize in working with young adults and adults. I am passionate about working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, self-esteem/body image, and other mental health concerns. During my work with clients, I use a trauma-informed approach that is rooted in acceptance and meeting the client where they are at in the present moment. I believe in a collaborative method where I work side by side with my client to set goals for therapy and identify coping skills that draw from their own unique personal strengths.

I specialize in working with clients who struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health needs or concerns. I have extensive history working with women, students, and those with a dual diagnosis. I like to meet clients where they are at and treat them as the expert by using a holistic, trauma informed, and direct approach. I use an eclectic style in session, using therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

As a therapist I always aim to provide a safe, caring, confidential space for people to come to share their struggles and goals. I want to provide an environment that will help people work through their struggles to obtain their goals. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervisory Designation and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I graduated from the University of Akron with a Master of Social Work. I have more than 15 years of experience in the field. I enjoy working with adults and there is no cap on age!

I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

Kami Imes (she/her) is a licensed independent social worker with a supervisory designation and a certified employee assistance professional. She earned her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Akron. Kami has a wide range of mental health experience including providing counseling for individuals and families in hospital, hospice, and outpatient settings. She has worked with adult clients on issues including but not limited mood disorders, adjustment disorders, life transitions, anxiety disorders and grief.

You've felt pushed into boxes of what you're supposed to be your whole life, always falling short of someone's expectations, feeling guilty, angry, or a sense of shame. I work with individuals, both teens and adults, who feel depressed or anxious from feeling not enough. I also work with couples who have similar experiences and sometimes bring the traumas of past relationships into the new one. Situations where you know your partner isn't your ex, but it's hard to not react in the same ways and then regret it later.

My name is Kelly Harmon (she/her) and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Kent State University. Throughout my work as a counselor, I have seen that many of my clients live a life of expectations, many of which can be harmful to both their physical and mental health. A person’s worth is often measured by what they can accomplish whether it be in work, school, as a parent, friend, or member of one’s family. In my work with clients, I have sought to help them prioritize their overall health and wellbeing.

Everyone experiences times when they may feel overwhelmed, confused, or anxious. I want to help you with those challenges. My clients tell me that my honesty, openness, enthusiasm and energy are a refreshing difference from therapy of the past where they received very little feedback. In my 24 years of experience as a therapist, I have developed a nurturing, goal oriented approach. I believe in active participation by clients in the counseling process. We will set obtainable goals together and ways to measure progress. I employ different techniques specific to clients' needs.

Juliane has a master’s degree from University of Kentucky and is a supervising licensed independent social worker with 25 years of experience. She has experience working with individuals, families and couples ranging from age 5 to 99 in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, homes, residential treatment facilities, outpatient community mental health and adolescent detention centers. Most recently Juliane has worked with people coping with major illness (particularly cancer).

My name is Mitchell Harmon (he/him) and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S). I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. I believe that life is a series of transitions, and it is during these transitions that people experience their greatest struggles, and their greatest triumphs. Change is never easy, and most people are trying to live their greatest lives, but sometimes experience barriers to being the best that they can be. I consider it a privilege to help people become the greatest version of themselves.

Lisa Lutz is a licensed counselor with over 15 years of experience. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Dayton. For her, the best part of counseling is hearing people’s stories and helping them work toward their individual goals.

Tessa Basco earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Akron in 2015. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 10 years of experience in the field. Tessa specializes in treating the lifespan and has experience with people of all ages; with a specific focus on treating adolescents and young adults.

I help people recovering from traumatic experiences in relationships and I offer guidance and practical skills to take home. People come because they had a difficult childhood and were hurt by people they were supposed to trust. People who have felt anxious most of their lives and don't know how to stop repeating mistakes. Sometimes clients come as a couple trying to heal from infidelity, built up walls, and pain. These couples are tired of feeling lonely inside a relationship. It is important to me to work with a diverse population with a variety of presenting issues. I have experience working with clients with traumatic stress injuries, dealing with issues of identity, having difficulty making meaning of their life, having difficulties related to anxiety and depression, and clients experiencing obsessive thinking or compulsions. I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals and aim to provide an open and affirming counseling experience.
