Being part of someone’s therapeutic journey is a privilege and helping people heal is my passion. I am a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State University with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The time I’ve spent providing Individual/ Family Therapy, Hospice, Crisis and Trauma Treatment has taught me the power of a solid therapeutic relationship and ongoing collaboration. I place a strong emphasis on both, as well as understanding your needs and goals.

I'm passionate about supporting clients along their journey's of personal growth and healing. I can help parents of young children with Autism or red flags for Autism and provide Neuroaffirming services. I also specialize in depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, and religious trauma. In addition, I have expertise in the unique issues faced by people who experience Narcissistic Abuse. Whether the Narcissist in your life is a family member or a romantic partner, I can help you navigate what can be difficult and confusing dynamics. I've been a practicing therapist since 2009, and I enjoy counseling adolescents, adults, families and couples. I find that most people are searching for a therapist because they want to be happier. Perhaps this manifests through symptoms of worry or sadness, broken relationships, or simply feeling stuck or struggling to overcome something. Most of us want to be happier or for things in life to be better, and I feel honored to help my clients strive to achieve this. I truly believe it is possible.

Infertility, miscarriages, sexual difficulties, postpartum anxiety and depression can be very hard for you and your partner to deal with and cause a strain in your relationships. These experiences may bring feelings of shame, disappointment, anger, and grief that could be overwhelming and difficult to understand for the people around us.

Sometimes people just need someone to listen - to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can be themselves. When people are struggling with hopelessness and helplessness, they also need someone to walk alongside them as a guide toward the solutions that work for their individualized struggles and goals. I work with a broad range of clientele, but I have extensive experience in working with the following clinical populations: eating disorders, substance abuse, individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Sometimes people arrive at counseling with the thought that something is wrong with them or that they are somehow broken. There is a line in a Leonard Cohen song which goes, “There is a crack in everything; that's how the light gets in.” I appreciate this observation because it points toward re-examining and re-assessing major life experiences and allows growth. As a clinician, I highly respect the courage and honesty that my clients bring to the counseling relationship. It is an honor for me to engage with others in this work of moving closer to the person they wish to be.

I have experience serving adult clients at each level of care, including community mental health, psychiatric facilities, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), as well as private practice. My therapeutic experience includes, but is not limited to working with trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, and college mental health. Additionally, I have worked with various cultures and socioeconomic statuses.
