Maureen McGervey is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 2 years of experience in the mental health field. Maureen completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Cleveland State University.

I have worked as a counselor for over 20 years in a variety of settings. These include outpatient community mental health, crisis services, corporate/workplace settings, and owning and operating a private Christian counseling practice. I also have experience in training law enforcement on how to better assist individuals in a mental health crisis.

Patricia came into the field of mental health in 1989 with a Master of Arts in Teaching. In 1993 Patricia returned to Case Western Reserve University where she earned a Master of Science in Social Administration through The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Patricia works successfully and joyfully with children, youth, and families. She enjoys working with family systems including couples counselling and parent-child relationships.

My passion is working with individuals and families to overcome life challenges that may be hindering them from reaching their full potential or simply enjoying life. My approach to therapy is client-centered and holistic. I provide a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere for sharing personal concerns to work toward healing. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, and an Ordained Minister. My diverse background including 10 yrs as a psychology professor, 10 yrs as a Clinical Dir., and 3 yrs as an NFL Agent; allows me to connect with people with various life experiences.

Life changes are difficult. We all go through things in life that are overwhelming. Some people seeking help are struggling with the loss of a loved one. At the same time, others are dealing with changes in family dynamics and family stressors. My goal is to help address these emotions and experiences. I work with a variety of mental health and emotional issues, including anxiety, anger, depression, relationship transitions, separation/divorce, new marriage, new parents/ step-parents, loss of family member or friend, family of military and active-duty members, and deployment transitions.

Combining my twenty years of experience with children and families in education with my passion for Christian mentorship and discipleship gives me a unique background that I now bring to my counseling practice. Being a licensed pastor as well as a trained Christian counselor helps me to see the client from all sides: spiritual, emotional, and mental. I work with clients focusing on wholeness and healing through a Christian counseling framework. Integrating faith and hope to find mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing is central to my approach. .

I believe that all people struggle with signs and symptoms of stress, anxiety and/or depression at some point in their lives. Dr. Somarriba is a clinical psychologist who is fluent in both English and Spanish. He received his doctoral degree in psychology, his master's degree in clinical psychology from Divine Mercy University and his bachelor's degree in international studies from American University. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in family medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center. He has experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments for patients of all ages.

My 30+ year career has found me working with people with anxiety and depression issues, as well as the incredible stresses due to life circumstances. I have been able to help clients who have found themselves with personality or impulse control issues. I tend to favor Cognitive Behavioral approaches in therapy, but am quite capable of adjusting my therapy techniques to best suit the problem.
