Without exception, all people want contentment and happiness, yet often it is elusive.
Yet, there really is a roadmap to peace and harmony---and it can be taught!
Conflict can be replaced with curiosity. Compassion can replace judgement. Open-heartedness can overcome disappointment.
My strength is in being a guide for people who want to grow into the person they were meant to be.
By attending to our minds our bodies and our spirits---in addition to having healthy relationships we can create vitality---whethere we're single or married.
Teaching all people the exquisite art of connection is my passion.

Becoming a parent can be simultaneously the most rewarding and most challenging time in your life. You may be struggling with conception, or you just gave birth and are experiencing scary and debilitating depression or anxiety, or maybe you’ve lost who you are in all the roles you’re playing (mother, partner, employee) and you want to find yourself again without feeling guilty about it. Or maybe nothing is “wrong” but everything still sucks. I specialize in treating all facets of maternal mental health & wellness, from Millennial/Generation Z life transitions, to conception, infertility and loss, through pregnancy and postpartum.

You're incredibly insightful and self-aware. You’ve read countless self-help books about healing - your copy of The Body Keeps the Score has been read through so many times it's falling apart. You know your attachment style and can identify the attachment styles of those around you. You know how to label your thoughts as irrational but then don’t know what to do with the actual feelings you’re experiencing. You’re aware of the same patterns that keep coming up for you over and over again, yet you feel powerless to actually change them. You've tried so many different things, yet you’re still feeling anxious, depressed, and confused.

Autism, anxiety, and couples counseling are my specialized areas of training and experience, but I can also help with a range of other concerns listed below. Many individuals hide parts of themselves that they feel others will not accept. This could include appearance, thoughts, feelings, emotions, actions, and behaviors. Experiences shape perceptions which create worldviews and sometimes navigation can be difficult. Life (usually) doesn't come with a GPS system and if you feel lost, hidden, or hopeless, you aren't alone.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
