I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Clients often come in with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, family changes, behavior problems, emotional regulation concerns, and more. I use therapeutic interventions from a variety of approaches including Play Therapy, trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (t-CBT), and Strengths-based Perspective.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, who specializes in working with individuals and families from various backgrounds with an array of issues. I help children, teens, and adults overcome mental health struggles and equip them with tools to better understand and cope with their challenges. When individuals are provided quality mental health care, they are able to live more healthy and empowered lives.

Life transitions (like moving, changing careers, or becoming a parent) are never easy, however they happen. There are plenty of books, web sites, professional “experts,” and well-meaning know-it-all observers who are ready to tell you exactly what you need to do to be healthy and successful. Sometimes direct advice targeted at a specific solution can be helpful. Often, though, these “quick fixes” miss the mark and leave us feeling like we’ve failed. Our work together will be different as I strive to support you to discover more about yourself, better understand your own needs, and enhance your relationships with others.

I have 33 years of clinical experience working with children, teens, families, and adults facing various life challenges. Time passes quickly. We often spend our days unhappy, and stressed. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I see clients of all ages with various presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and marital issues. My preferred area of focus is trauma. I also offer EMDR treatment.

As a counselor, I have had the honor and privilege to have counseled and worked with individuals, couples, and families. As your counselor, we will work together side by side, in establishing the goals you want to accomplish while addressing your concerns for emotional, mental health, and or substance use. In addition, we can also address any issues or concerns you may have for your children. My experience allows me to help you to improve relationships with couples and families. I found my passion in working with families coming from hard places. I focus on family dynamics, generational patterns, and helping you choose the best steps to take moving forward. I can help support you in building boundaries, work on relationships, and learn how to deal with anxiety & stress.

I work with a variety of clients, all having one thing in common: They are unhappy with the direction their life has taken and seek insight so that their lives can change. Whether they are wanting to process a life event and only want to come one or two sessions, or whether they want to make a long-term connection with a counselor, I tailor my therapy to my clients' needs. My approach is interactive, engaging my clients in conversations that help them process past or present events, so that they can find their own path to healing.
