Adulting is hard is one of the most consistent messages, whether it's coming from a Tiktok video or from the people we care about. Having witnessed the persons struggle through detoxing, trying to figure out how to be really seen and heard by their partner without repeating the same conflict patterns, wrestling with depression about the past and/or anxiety about the future, I agree with the messages. I've also been there when someone in recovery reunites with their community, partners work to repair their relationship, and people who've been weighed down for years experience some relief. That type of outcome is what I work towards.

I draw on a range of approaches, including EFT, CBT, and The Gottman Method. I welcome couples interested in pre-marital counseling; those struggling with communication issues; and those coping with infidelity, addiction, co-parenting, and family-blending. I also serve individual clients (18+) dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief, and other life changes.

I had the honor of serving as the director of the counseling center at Columbus College of Art & Design for 10 years before moving into private practice. I especially enjoy working with artists and creatives, queer folks, transgender and non-binary folks, and neurodiverse folks. Some of the treatment areas I've focused on most include PTSD and complex trauma, sexual violence, childhood abuse, dissociation, anxiety and panic, depression, and relationship concerns. I have been a practicing clinical social worker for over 30 years. I have extensive experience in working with individuals, couples, and families. I work with clients who are at least 13 years of age. I believe I excel in assisting clients work through depression, anxiety, and /or life issues that impede an individual or a couple in maximizing their potential. Because I believe that children are often the victims of adversarial divorces, I am also a certified divorce and family mediator with the Court of Common Pleas. My focus in my mediation work is to help children of divorce.
