I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on Positive Psychology from The Ohio State University and my Master’s degree from Heidelberg University. My work in community mental health afforded me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of ages, populations, diagnosis and client needs. I believe that my responsibility as a clinician is to truly meet a client where they are and sit with that client; our job is not to shed light on the client but to walk beside the client on their own personal journey toward light and healing. I am passionate about helping clients find and make meaning in their lives.

I have the ability to treat clients who find themselves struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, family/marital issues, stage of life struggles, trauma, and/or sexual identity/dysphoria. I see clients ranging in age from 12 and older.

Malinda has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She has experience working with adults, teens, group therapy, and Plain Communities. She has specialized in trauma research and mental health for insular religious groups, underserved inner-city communities, and individuals facing church hurt. She works with a range of concerns for ages 18+ including depression, anxiety, personality, and PTSD.

I work solely with clients who are 25 years old and above. Being engaged in individual counseling is an opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times of life. Counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, to address concerns that lead to mental health problems. You will work with me in a safe, caring and confidential environment. The focus of our work could be on specific goals or long-standing concerns such as, family of origin issues or past-unsolved trauma. The ultimate goal is to help you heal, grow, and re-engage in a productive, personally fulfilling life.

My passion is working with women who have been in, or are in, abusive relationships (physically, emotionally, sexually, or verbally) and/or have trauma and work to help heal, restore, and empower them while growing into the women they want to be.

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.
