I have over sixteen years of experience working with a broad and varied range of individuals struggling with a myriad of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders, isolation, sexuality, gender identity, and relationship issues.

Our mission at Cosan Counseling is to provide mental health counseling services for adolescents, young adults, and adult females to guide them through their journey to wellness of both mind and body. I help people get back on track -- and beyond -- after a challenge. In "earth language" I focus on clients and their potential, rather than problems. I have many years of experience working with individuals who struggle with mental health and addiction problems. I use a skill-based approach to treatment called dialectical behavioral therapy. This type of treatment focuses on learning how to live in the moment, manage interpersonal relationships effectively, handle life's challenges with grace and competence, and understand and deal with feelings in constructive ways. Using my training and diagnostic knowledge I will develop a comprehensive treatment plan that emphasizes relapse prevention and living a life worth living. I work with a team of other mental health professionals including psychiatrists, and counselors.
