Through a combination of evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and a person-centered approach, I walk with my clients on the journey of overcoming these obstacles, toward achieving both their emotional and behavioral goals.

My eclectic approach is flexible and meets the person where there at, while matching the symptoms and disorders to the treatment approach. I help individuals identify specific struggles in their life. My experience has helped clients regulate emotions, and work through issues and struggles while providing tools to facilitate healing. I am an experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has worked with a wide variety of individuals and groups. My focus is to provide individual counseling for children, teens, and young adults with mental health disorders, trauma, addiction, and eating disorders. When working with a patient, I take a strengths-based approach with a Christian foundation while utilizing several modes of interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and positive psychology.

I offer telehealth counseling. Therapy can be a scary thought, but it is a space for you to find yourself again and re-experience life. As a therapist, I am aware of the stigma surrounding mental health, and I know taking the first step to come to therapy can be difficult. I strive to create a warm, inclusive, welcoming environment to allow clients to express themselves openly and honestly without judgment. My name is Laura and I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2016 with my Master's degree in Social Work. I've worked with multiple populations including adults with severe mental illness with comorbid addiction issues, adults and adolescents with acute trauma, adults with anxiety and depression, the geriatric population and crisis intervention. I have been an active member of my community for most of my life. I began caring for others at age 15 by working as a nursing assistant in a local nursing home. I have volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician and was a foster parent for nearly 100 children over a 13 year time span. I am passionate about helping people of all ages reach their personal or professional goals. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Psychology and Legal Studies from the University of Cincinnati and his Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University.

I'm a licensed social worker with over 20 years of experience working with a variety of populations in different settings. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process with the client being the expert on his/her own life and the therapist being a resource to help overcome difficulties on life's journey. I take an eclectic approach to working with clients and specifically trained in cognitive behavioral, solution-focused and interpersonal therapies.
