My focus is truly about helping people. We all experience challenges in our lives and feel out of balance from time to time. I believe my role is to help people identify challenges and discover methods to address those challenges-returning balance in their lives. I have treated adolescents, adults and the geriatric population- both in the hospital setting and in general practice. Recently, I completed a certificate course in Sports Social Work. This has expanded my practice to include a special focus for athletes, not only to enhance performance but to address specific needs of athletes.

This process may lead to feeling fear, anxiety, doubt, or shame, which can leave you feeling stuck and unfulfilled. You deserve support that honors all aspects of your lived experience. I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, trauma informed, socially conscious, and anti-racist/anti-oppressive oriented therapist. My areas of focus are individual work, especially with women 18-40 as they grow into their power as women. I also work with families and couples wanting to increase communication and reduce negativity.

I promise my patients to be honest and sincere. I enjoy being a psychologist because I get to be in the privileged position to help others and generally see my patients get better and find greater joy and fulfillment in their lives.I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have interest and expertise in a number of areas, but especially get excited about marital/couples therapy. I have been PAIRS trained (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills) and enjoy solution focused interventions with couples.

I primarily focused on helping adult individuals. Rather it be a neurotic disorder, a mood disorder, a psychosis, or something less complex, I have a thorough understanding of working with individuals. I have focused my therapeutic education on clinical adult mental health. I utilize system theory, cognitive behavior theory, dialectical behavioral theory, and empowerment theory. All of these concepts I have studied throughout my college career into post-graduate trainings. Each plays an important part throughout the therapeutic process and are utilize interchangeably.
