I offer clients that I consult with over 40 years of experience in problem-solving efforts of multiple types of mental health, behavioral, interpersonal and emotional distress. During my career I have engaged clients in a variety of settings including group managed care practices, in-patient hospitals, outpatient community mental health and forensic. Clients have their unique expectations of treatment. Depending on temperament, some expect supportive feedback and advice while others respond best to directive interventions. Soliciting ongoing feedback from each client informs the best approach for the individual situation.

My passion and expertise is in the treatment of trauma, specifically relational trauma. With the demands that Western society places on our time and energy to just meet basic survival needs, we have not been taught or experienced authentic and healthy relationships with others or ourselves. We will work together to identify your triggers or "stuck" points, and from there work with the mind and body to alter neuro-connections to create a different perspective and emotional experience. I utilize EMDR and traditional therapy and believe the path to healing is through strengthening adaptive connections with others and ourselves.

I am a Jungian-informed, credentialed music therapist who has been working in the mental health field for 10 years. I believe that the most effective therapist serves as a guide to help folks connect to their innermost thoughts, feelings, and values. I am interested in empowering my clients to discover and understand their unique qualities so that they may lead meaningful lives. I utilize the therapeutic relationship to explore attachment patterns in order to help people understand their own relational adaptations and needs.

I specialize in working with those who struggle with or love someone who struggles with understanding/regulating their feelings and anyone who has ever been confused about why they acted the way they did in that moment. Thoughts, feelings, and actions are complicated concepts and understanding why we do what we do in certain situations can be confusing.
