Combining my twenty years of experience with children and families in education with my passion for Christian mentorship and discipleship gives me a unique background that I now bring to my counseling practice. Being a licensed pastor as well as a trained Christian counselor helps me to see the client from all sides: spiritual, emotional, and mental. I work with clients focusing on wholeness and healing through a Christian counseling framework. Integrating faith and hope to find mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing is central to my approach. .

My clients' past trauma gets in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of person they want to be. They feel like they’re failing as a partner, friend, sister, daughter. And their confidence at work is tanking. Before they came to see me, they felt guilty for not being happy and wanting more intimate relationships. They worried about blaming their past and others for the current issues with intimate relationships. And they were pretty certain it would be too overwhelming to share with a stranger what happened to them and what has been going on.

There are times in life that we all face situations that can be confusing, challenging and/or overwhelming. I understand it is not always easy reaching out for help. I create a safe, non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I aim to provide support and encouragement for what is working while also helping uncover the roadblocks that stand in the way of you achieving your goals.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervisory designation. I have over 12 years of professional mental health experience & have worked in a variety of settings, including: youth residential treatment facilities, IOPs, community based agencies, school settings & private practice. My specialties include the diagnosis & treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma related disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders & grief. I offer diagnostic assessments and empirically based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

Helping teens find their own strength is my passion. I am excited about empowering them and others to make healthy changes in their own lives. Right now, we’re seeing many teens struggle with anxiety and depression, in addition to the regular stresses of life. I help them process their trauma and build a great life while working through their depression and anxiety.

I integrate humor & compassion, along with evidence based practices to help clients work towards their goals.
