I have helped my clients with bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, self-esteem, depression, schizophrenia, addiction, ADHD, academic issues, bullying, LGBTQ+ issues, parenting challenges, suicidality, and phase of life problems.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression and eating disorders with a specialization in women’s mental health. I have shifted my practice to focus predominately in perinatal mood disorders although I still welcome clients not dealing with perinatal related issues. My goal is to help women navigate their journey into motherhood- whether it is how they envisioned it or a completely different experience- giving them the space to openly share their thoughts, emotions and learn how to manage the adjustment life brings.

I specialize in Borderline personality disorder, PTSD/Trauma, and co-occurring challenges. My scope of practice includes LGBTQ+ concerns, couples (nonmonogamy), and mood disorders. A desire to change is often forged in hardships that are overwhelming, painful, and cause suffering. It can be a difficult path to navigate alone. A therapeutic relationship based on trust, open communication, respect, and empathy is fundamental to overcoming struggles. Whether it is during a transition, an acute stressor, or severe mental illness, I provide a supportive, safe, and non-judgmental environment for youth, adults, families, and couples.

We will integrate the action of forward movement, breathing new air, and grounding ourselves in the present moment as we unpack your world. I'm here to help you recognize that you absolutely have the power to change the things you don't love about your life. Juliane has a master’s degree from University of Kentucky and is a supervising licensed independent social worker with 25 years of experience. She has experience working with individuals, families and couples ranging from age 5 to 99 in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, homes, residential treatment facilities, outpatient community mental health and adolescent detention centers. Most recently Juliane has worked with people coping with major illness (particularly cancer).

I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, a trauma evidenced based approach to explore past and current life stressors. I am passionate about supporting clients, especially women and individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community at all seasons of life as they weather life’s unique challenges.
