Life throughout the past two years has been full of change and uncertainty. Routines have changed and you may find yourself struggling to build motivation. People have been lost to the pandemic and in efforts to relocate out of the city and you may find yourself feeling isolated. You may find yourself grieving people, places, opportunities, and the way life used to be.

The traditional approaches to treating gambling addiction do not work for many people, and the philosophy and limited focus of Gamblers Anonymous are often not a good fit for higher-functioning, compulsive gamblers. I help you really figure it all out so you can overcome this addiction. My approach is flexible and individualized, and it can help almost anyone make substantial progress towards resolving their gambling addiction. I work with you to achieve your goals and ultimately build a truly fulfilling life for yourself. This may involve abstinence, learning moderation, or simply reducing your gambling to a more optimal level.

Great to meet you! I am a Dance/Movement Psychotherapist, my eyes are trained to see what our words cannot express...and that's where the magic happens. DMT is a powerful modality combines the art of dance and the science of psychology to unlock your potential for healing and self-expression. By engaging in movement and dance, you will tap into the wisdom of your body, accessing emotions and memories that may be difficult to verbalize. Through this process, you will discover new insights, release tension, and cultivate a stronger mind-body connection.

Not all big problems began big, and not all small problems remain small. There are many different reasons clients come to me for help, with the common goal of finding happiness, and living a life that feels fulfilled and peaceful. Whether it be an experience from the past that anchors you, a problem in the present that negatively affects important responsibilities such as family/relationships, career/education and overall well being, or worry of the future; everyone deserves to feel in control and empowered for their own lives. Together, we can convert negative thinking into positive/proactive thinking that generates change.

We all go through struggles that may get us “stuck.” My approach is to support you in becoming “unstuck” ” I tend to use the cognitive solution focused model. I’ve worked with patients struggling with depression, addiction, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, anger, relationships, phobias and parenting; just to name a few. It’s my objective to support you in reaching your goals at your own pace, although it may seem like I’m pushing you sometimes. I will support you in times you need to vent, but also shift you back to focus and teach you new ways to cope. I’m here to facilitate personal growth when you are feeling like it might not be reachable.

Whether you are feeling anxious, having a difficult time getting motivated, feeling down, or recently going through some other life change, I would love to work with you on reaching your treatment goals. Thank you for visiting my profile. I am licensed in NY, CT, and MA. Psychotherapy is about educating and raising awareness so that we can non-judgmentally identify our patterns and manage life’s confusion. I appreciate a collaborative approach to help identify your needs and goals. I utilize an integration of evidence-based treatment, process therapy, and a mindfulness framework. I also take time to understand and integrate what makes each person unique, such as our mood, temperament, family system, environment, culture, and biology.

I believe each individual has what it takes to overcome obstacles by accessing their inner wisdom and unique strengths. My approach to counseling is integrative, meaning I draw from several different types of therapy to fit what is best for the client's needs. I hold sessions from a non-hierarchical and non-judgmental position while simultaneously acknowledging the differences and limitations of working with diverse populations.

Life can be hard, sometimes we can't even get out of bed to face the day. Learning skills to address: sadness, exhaustion, family dynamics, work stress, issues of trauma, PTSD, depression that stops you from enjoying life are some of the factors that I address in treatment. It can be scary to address the past, face the issues that have impeded us from being happy and successful, but with treatment and learning new skills slowly life can be better. Everyone wants to be happy, but change is hard and the struggle is real. With my psychodynamic approach we can create a treatment plan and approach to address these issues

As a therapist, I have a particular interest in working with individuals focusing on developing healthy communication patterns. With compassion and humor, I focus on enhancing the well-being of others whether that be meeting daily basic or complex needs. I understand the importance for one to build skills to change thought patterns and behaviors to reduce anxiety or depression symptoms as well as communication building. I am dedicated to establishing a secure and nonjudgmental environment, where compassionate care allows individuals to explore their emotions and experience healing.

Perhaps the two of you are having trouble communicating. Maybe you have just had another useless fight. You may have even thought of divorce. You know you don't want that. Maybe one of you has a job requiring travel or late hours. The time left goes to your kids. In the middle of the night, you realize you are losing each other. Imagine having the tools resolve fights before they end up in the kitchen sink or the attack-blame dance. You want to feel your partner respects you and will have your back. Regain the freedom to laugh and to enjoy hanging out with each other again.
