We all go through difficult times in life. We hurt, grieve, feel sad, angry and anxious, we become frustrated, get stuck on something or someone and often do not know how to move on.“The best way out is always through” said the poet Robert Frost and I believe that this is a great metaphor for the process of psychotherapy. It is not easy to face our problems, be vulnerable in front of another person, reveal our fears and anxieties or experience uncomfortable emotions. It takes courage to ask for help and begin therapy and I have tremendous respect for anyone who is willing to do so.

As a late-diagnosed autistic woman, I have firsthand experience with the struggles shared by many on the spectrum—sensory overload, communication differences, social confusion, and the pressure to appear “normal”. I’m eager to develop supportive, therapeutic relationships with fellow neurodiverse folks, informed by my personal experience and clinical training, in solidarity and with respect for the diverse collective.

I find I do my best work with teens and millennial adults who struggle with childhood and complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem and self-worth issues, relational trauma and depression. Past traumatic experiences shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we regulate our emotions. I utilize the therapy space as a way to help you build empathy and understanding for yourself, develop insight into long-term relational patterns that may be holding you back, and build skills for emotional regulation.

I am committed to working with adolescents and young adults to help them overcome challenges, heal from past traumas, meet their goals, and, most importantly, live their best lives! My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, and stress management. As a school social worker, I understand the importance of continuing care through the summer and engaging in supplemental services during the school year. I know that finding such care can be challenging, but I hope that I can make things a bit easier!
