My name is Marilyn Green, LCSW-R, BC-TMH. I have worked in the social work field for over twenty five years. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from Fordham Graduate School of Social Work in 1993. I have been in private practice for more than twenty years. I was awarded "Social 'Worker in the Trenches" of the year award in 2001 from the Hudson Valley Division of NASW.

I like to think of myself as a seasoned clinician who has adapted and adjusted to the changing times. I am currently providing telehealth services only. I have evolved my craft toward a mindfully oriented practice which I combine with cognitive, behavioral and DBT techniques. My work supports adults (26+) going through their journey of radical acceptance focusing on those life changing events which can often cause emotional dysregulation.

I am a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology. I'm psychodynamically oriented, while at the same time I am direct and interactive in my approach. My focus is on correcting maladaptive behaviors and identifying the unconscious processes and irrational beliefs which underlie them. My expertise is in helping persons who are depressed, anxious, experiencing loss, having relationship problems and/or concerns about sexual matters. I accept most insurance including Medicare. Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience helping people with relationship problems, anxiety and depression, child and teen topics, eating disorders, traumas, self-esteem and social issues. I believe that life's challenges are opportunities for personal growth. No matter your age, background,or problems, the most important goal is to find your strengths and release the fears that hold you back. When we overcome obstacles we gain confidence and wisdom. i work with clients ages 10and over but primarily adults with a widevarietyof mood,anxiety,obsessive compulsive.grief,chronic pain and illness,personality disorders.anger and stressmanagement,grief issues,bipolar disorder,ADHD.couples therapy.With all of my clients I focus on identifying their distressing dysfunctional symptoms,their negative thoughts that lead to debilitating emotions and behaviors,and teaching my clients positive coping skills such as emotional deregulation,interpersonal effectiveness,staying in the present,and learning distress tolerance skills,I perform family,individal,and couples therapy focusing on the treatment of adolescents as well as adult clients to maximize their potential.

I have over 25 years experience ranging from working with children as young as four to senior citizens. From the field of education I am very experienced with school related situations. I have worked in the field of education for more than 25 years. I am also very seasoned and experienced in marital and couples counseling.

I have 40+ years of clinical practice in a variety of mental health and substance abuse treatment settings. I believe in an approach that enhances a person's growth in self awareness. I have found that a person's ability to change is essential to their well-being and quality of life. My experience has led me to believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship. Each individual is unique. My approach focuses on the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual qualities of the person's life. We will utilize a variety of clinical approaches that are effective.

A seasoned Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, I obtained my Master's in Clinical Social Work from the prestigious Fordham University's Advanced Standing Program, specializing in therapy for couples, individuals, and young people. I further honed my expertise with a postgraduate degree from the Albert Ellis Institute.
