Hello, and thank you for viewing my profile. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York. My therapeutic approach is richly integrative, and based on where an individual is at. In these challenging times, and even in the best of circumstances, it can be difficult to cope, and it is not uncommon to feel stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed about life, one's family or financial situation, or the future. I would look forward to partnering with you, even if it's just to help you have a happier, more satisfying life.

I work best with motivated individuals who will work with me and be courageous enough to be honest about their thoughts, feelings, and fears. My clients are expected to do assignments, readings, and offer feedback. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the progress that a child or an adult can make through self discovery that counseling offers. Ultimately we are the masters of our own lives, and it is by allowing the individual to unlock his or her own capabilities and potential, that the therapist is truly a success.

greetings, I have been a counselor/therapist of over 35 years. First in a Mental Health Clinic and for the last 16 years at a counseling center. I see my role as helping people regain the balance that is missing in their lives. I find great satisfaction in seeing people regain the ability to manage any issues or conflicts they have been struggling with. If you are having problems coping with anxiety, depression, relationships or relapse prevention I know we can do great work together.

Are you struggling with something? Anything at all? Well then, you’re looking in the right place. I believe therapy should be a part of everyone's self-exploration and self-care process. Happiness and wellness comes from so many aspects of a person’s life. Until those parts are balanced and fulfilled, then struggles may exist. Whether it’s cognitive, social, romantic, spiritual, behavioral, or any other part of your existence, it’s important to me. My goal as a therapist is to help you become the best and happiest version of yourself. I’ll be right by your side, supporting you in every step of your process.

Asking for help is hard. It’s so natural for us as humans to suffer in silence, to hide ourselves because of the shame that we feel about saying, “Hey, I’m struggling.” My goal is to help you have the hard conversations. To listen to how you’re feeling, and to help you get what you need. You don’t have to do it alone. I aim to offer support to anyone who is struggling with their mental health by practicing a person-centered approach and utilizing my experience with a variety of approaches, including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, mindfulness and coping skills development.

Take a breath. Making the choice to begin therapy is rarely an easy one. It can feel stressful and overwhelming - much like life itself. I welcome the opportunity to help guide you on this journey. My approach is collaborative and based around the belief that meaningful change occurs when people feel safe and supported.

Life happens! And when it does, we can feel an endless range of emotions. Anxiety, depression, sadness, anger, happiness and the list goes on. While all of these feelings are normal and healthy, it can be overwhelming to experience them. That’s where I come in!

Depression, overwhelming stress, racing thoughts, past experiences, relationships, existential questions- whatever keeps you up at night or keeps you in bed all day- it’s human, and sometimes it is so hard to be human. Turning toward our pain and taking a step toward health and healing takes tremendous courage. My approach to therapy is to honor this courageous step you are taking and walk alongside you.

My biggest takeaway throughout my clinical career is understanding the perplexity of mental health and how all too often, people can be misunderstood when we don’t take the time to listen. I am a strong believer in meeting the client where they are and not forcing the therapeutic process. My engagement skills revolve around maintaining flexibility and no judgement with whomever is in the room with me. It is vital to understand that our challenges don’t define us and we must value every person as an individual, not by their diagnosis, disability or trauma history.
