I specialize in working with clients facing issues such as: Anxiety and depression, Substance use and recovery, Trauma and PTSD, Relationship challenges, Life transitions.
In my practice, I have worked with a variety of people. I have found people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and codependency. People surviving, but unsure of how to live. They outwardly seem to be happy, have everything together and can have successful lives. People are managing work and family, they juggle busy lives and are doing the best they can for those they love. Inwardly, life can be hard, challenging and at times overwhelming. I have been able to help people work through these issues and more. Helping you learn new coping skills and finding your way to a better life.

I have found that individuals have a great deal of success when we work on the relationship between their thoughts and emotions.
I have experience in working with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and school stress. I spent more than two years working at Cornell's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), which provided me with deep knowledge of the ins and outs of their mental health system, along with the pressures that one can face at college in regard to competition, academic stress, and building social connection. Being from upstate NY, I also understand some of the isolative parts of the experience, and adjustment to the uniqueness of the region. I am grateful to have a chance to share this experience and apply it to the therapy space.

I specialize in working with teens and adults impacted by grief and loss, trauma, and relationship/marital problems.
There is a universal human need for our stories to be told, heard, and understood. Perhaps your story has painful memories that have caused anxiety, stress, and depression to enter your life. Maybe your family or personal relationships have hurt you and you desire to have healthier relationships. It is my goal to provide you with a safe place to explore and process your past and present stories as a means to access growth, healing, insight, and positive change. As Samwise said to Frodo, “There’s some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for”- J.R.R. Tolkien.

I strongly believe in a collaborative approach where my clients will not only have the opportunity to build a relationship with me as their therapist, but I will also work with other medical professionals to ensure quality care.
While working with you, I will help you understand the systematic factors and multi-generational patterns that may have you stuck. I work together with my clients to identify certain patterns and develop skills to change the dynamics that are causing the challenges in their life. Are you feeling stuck in an unhappy place, or feeling overwhelmed by worry? Are you in a relationship that is full of conflict with no resolution in sight? Are you struggling with difficult behaviors from your teenager or child? Has your relationship been impacted by an affair?

I'd love to support you and help you and your partner transform your relationship and connect more deeply than you have in years.
A happy and secure marriage is wonderful, and can be tough to maintain. Keeping your relationship solid during a really difficult season in life is even harder. So many couples struggle to stay connected when they're going through something difficult: trying to have a baby, adjusting to parenthood, job changes, financial stressors, grief, or health issues. Other couples find themselves simply drifting apart: they're not sure when things changed, but one day they looked up and realized their communication sucks and they barely spend time together. And when this happens, so many couples don't know what to do or how to reconnect.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
