I use a mix of different approaches: Emotionally Focused Therapy, psychodynamic, mindful, somatic based interventions with individuals to perceptively help clients regulate and clarify: we explore emotion and connection; and relational patterns, therapy is both experiential and dynamic, yet with an eye to existential meaning and wholeness.
I work with couples and individuals in couples counseling and psychotherapy. My approach is collaborative, interactive, engaged, to be "in it with you." I believe that core and primary emotions, when explored and shared in a safe environment with a secure other, can achieve the transformation we desire--toward relief, confidence, an expanded sense of self, authenticity, happiness, peace, joy, meaning and depth, satisfaction, openness and nurturing, loving relationships.

I am also trained in cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies, as well as somatic techniques.
As a psychologist, I help people address their struggles and reach their potential. I pay careful attention to the establishment of a safe, trusting environment where people feel heard, seen, and supported. I have come to recognize the issues that come along with our attempts to cope with challenges that life presents. We often use strategies that might have been useful in the past and are less helpful now. These patterns--many of which are not in our immediate awareness--are multilayered and as such, present as portals for us to access the enormous field of potential for lasting change which we aim to access collaborativelly.

Perhaps you're curious if the growing field of psychedelic-assisted therapy could help you find the change you are seeking. If so, you've come to the right place. I specialize in helping people find the breakthroughs they desire through an eclectic approach, including trauma-based therapy, somatic parts work, and psychedelic assisted therapy (currently utilizing ketamine).

My approach is psychodynamic, seeking to discover and heal root causes of each patient's experiences, bolstered by evidence-based symptom management skills such as DBT, somatic therapies, and AEDP.
My focus as a therapist is helping you understand and embrace your own identity and your own values. There is powerful strength in being yourself, and we can discover that strength together. My expertise is particularly in working with body image and eating disorders, with people who have or wish to be evaluated for autism and/or ADHD, with people experiencing self-injury or suicidal ideation, and with people who have "treatment-resistant" or severe anxiety and depression. I partner with patients who want to understand themselves on a deep level, while simultaneously offering concrete skills and tools to alleviate current symptoms.

Some techniques I use are EMDR, mindfulness-based cognitive therapies, and somatic resourcing such as yoga to assist with connecting to your mind, body, and spirit.
Have you felt the rawness of isolation and the storm of complex struggles taking over your mind, body, and spirit? As a holistic trauma-informed psychotherapist, I am dedicated to treating your nervous system. Through working together, we will be able to unpack deep-rooted emotions, address where they first began to appear in your life, and help you pour into watering your overall wellbeing. I do this by holding space in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment. My expertise includes working with survivors of sexual trauma, however I work with all origins of emotional pain derived from the many interwoven facets of trauma.

I incorporate somatic techniques to increase the mind-body connection.
Are you in the midst of a life transition? Do you have trouble putting words to your feelings or feel like it’s hard to take up space? Are you navigating romantic relationships and having difficulty setting boundaries? I work with people who are eager to learn more about themselves but struggle to voice their needs and have learned to keep themselves connected by over-giving. Together, we work towards recognizing internalized messages from families and culture at large in order to help you locate your authentic voice and quiet the noise from outside.

In my practice, I utilize psychoanalytic and somatic (body-mind) therapy.
The most important aspect of therapy is a trusting relationship in which one feels valued, understood, recognized and seen. I work with people who want to understand the connections between past experiences and patterns in their current lives to have more satisfying relationships. The people I work with want to feel connected to others, repair past relationships, participate in corrective and reparatory experiences, understand their feelings, actions and thoughts, and be at peace with themselves. Many suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, body image or eating, and find themselves in challenging periods of transitions.

My approach is psychodynamic, relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed, and I incorporate somatic, dreamwork, and other modalities based on needs and preferences.
I believe that putting words to experience within a collaborative therapeutic partnership can be immensely healing. I work with individuals of all ages with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life and career transitions, work-related stress, trauma/history of abuse, grief, shame, and questions around gender and sexuality. I also provide couples and marriage counseling. I enjoy working with those who are curious about the ways they may not understand themselves and view the change process as a journey.

As a therapist I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness, and yoga. Inspired by my own yoga practice I take a holistic approach, striving to integrate the body into talk therapy. I find exploration of somatic experiences to be a doorway into understanding how emotions are stored in, and processed through, the body, mind, and spirit. In sessions I endeavor to create a trauma informed collaborative environment of mutual trust and safety. I follow the lead of the client, believing that the client is the expert of their own experiences.

My expertise is in getting underneath familiar loops of anxiety and depression using powerful somatic modalities (AEDP, EMDR, EFT) that go further than just talk therapy.
So many of us turn to therapy because we're exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck. We're confused by our own reactions, beliefs, and thoughts. Often it can feel like we're fighting against ourselves and unintentionally hurting us and others in the process. Even if we have a vague understanding of our negative patterns, unbinding them can seem daunting. We're surrounded by people, information, and options, yet we feel more insecure, lost, and lonely than ever. Even the act of finding a therapist is distressing. But if you're here trying, I believe it speaks to the resilience emerging inside of you, driving you toward relief and change.

My intention is to help my clients to meet life with resilience and inspired creativity. I listen deeply to the wholeness of you and integrate traditional 'talk' therapy with somatic techniques to address both the mind and body. In the safety of our therapeutic partnership, I guide you to become aware of all aspects of your experience so that the disconnected parts of you are brought together into a meaningful unity.

In addition to IFS, I integrate somatic and mindfulness work, as well as use evidence based Gottman Method techniques.
Sometimes in life we feel disconnected from ourselves and the people we love most. We feel a strong desire for change whether we know exactly what that change is yet or not. At times that change is forced upon us due to a loss of some kind in which we find ourselves grieving and in pain. Or the change we want feels unacceptable and risky. As a therapist, I believe in the transformative power of change. I believe we all possess internal wisdom and the ability to change in ways that are needed and desired. I am also aware that change can be scary and feel impossible at times.
