My approach to therapy is an integration of person-centered therapy, psychodynamic theory, trauma informed IFS, and attachment theory.
Do you find yourself getting stuck in the same relationship patterns over and over again? Do you find yourself doing everything in your power to discontinue previous relational patterns and behaviors? Are you struggling with self-doubt, low-self-esteem, and painful self-criticism that seems to be holding you back? My approach to therapy looks at these patterns and behaviors through the lens of parts work. This allows us to separate the self (you), from the parts that struggle with self-doubt, and from the parts that persist in repeating unhealthy relationships and behavioral patterns.

Life experiences, both traumatic and seemingly ordinary, can leave us with no choice but to develop coping strategies that can be lifesaving in the moment but eventually lead us away from our inherent joy, curiosity, creativity, and connectedness. Therapy can help us heal. I specialize in relational work, including relational patterns that come from our families of origin, relationships with ourselves, with our friends, romantic partners, and children, as well as relationships with food and substances. My approach is eclectic, blending psychodynamic approaches with somatic interventions, IFS, CBT, DBT, and other modalities.

I am certified in Somatic Experiencing- an intense 3 yr program, in the use of touch 2 yr program and have just completed Level 11 in IFS- Interal Family Systems.
I am a Trauma Specialist. Often my clents have no idea of the true impact of trauma;they are unaware that their physical complaints- headaches, stomach aches, and GI problems are part of the picture. These clients are shutdowm, isolated and hypervigilant and guarded Many systems in their body have run amok.Almost nothing feels safe. When someone doesn't feel safe no amount of talk therapy can convince them otherwise.Something happens deep in the core of our brain and body.. Such physiology prevents people from thinking things through. They need to learn how to ground, how to settle- AND need to have tools to do it for themselves.

Using tools like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and Relational Therapy, I’ll support you in exploring experiences that may hold you back from living as your true self.
Trauma isn’t just about what happens to you; it’s about how those experiences can change your life. We are all living for the first time and no one deserves to spend it suffering in silence with anxiety, depression, trauma, or feelings of being "stuck" in life. Let’s reclaim your sense of self, build your resilience, and learn how to willingly embrace happiness over fear. Abundance is our birthright, and merely surviving should never feel like enough. Together, let’s discover the strength within you to take bold steps toward healing.

I work mainly with IFS (parts work) and Clean Language, both of which contact our inner imaginal world, the very place where psychedelics take us.
I have been helping people prepare for psychedelic experiences and process them afterwards, since 2003, before all this became so popular. Psychedelic experiences are not some kind of a silver bullet which will unfailingly fix our mental health issues, they are in fact incredibly varied experiences, from the ecstatic to the terrifying, but they are always a door into parts of ourselves that we would be pretty unlikely to meet any other way. Rather than describing psychedelics as the next big thing in mental health, I think it's fairer to say that they are an extraordinary vehicle to help us in progressing on our soul's journey.

My approach is trauma-informed, humanistic, and influenced by Narrative Therapy and Experiential Therapies including IFS.
The world is full of expectations—should and should nots, and molds you may have tried to fit yourself into. If you’re feeling lost, anxious, depressed, or struggling in your relationships, it may be because your experience doesn’t align with those stories. Looking inward creates the opportunity to see yourself and your relationships through a new lens of compassion and care. Whether you’re looking for individual therapy, support in your relationship(s), or help navigating family challenges, I'm eager to uplift your inherent empathetic power and help you find greater access to your capacity for healing.

People come to my practice for many reasons, but what we all seem to have in common is a goal to feel more alive and at peace with ourselves and others, and truly connect in our relationships and with what we choose to do in the world. As an IFS therapist I work with people in a profoundly nonjudgmental way, where every past behavior, emotion, and thought can be intimately and compassionately understood. Change and growth then comes from a place of open-minded self knowledge and love... I have personally experienced transformation through this work and have witnessed its power to promote long lasting change in countless clients.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including psychodynamic, EMDR, IFS, relational therapy and mindfulness practice.
Through my experience as a therapist, I have learned that asking stimulating questions in a trusting, safe, non-judgmental space empowers people to process past experiences and understand how that history impacts relationships and decision-making today. My approach to therapy is focused on a positive and collaborative therapeutic relationship and my belief that everyone has the ability to conquer their fears and overcome hardships.

My approach to therapy is one that blends: Relational-Cultural Theory, and we can utilize our relationship as an instrument for healing; Internal Family Systems, so we can understand and unburden the different parts of yourself; and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, so we can explore how your body is both an avenue for understanding your story and a resource.
You are here. You've made it through this world so far- through thousands of days living in the layers of your identities, despite the oppression, the capitalism, and the global crises. Your body is likely holding decades-worth of wounds and wisdom. You are waiting to breathe... to rest... to grieve... to dream... to be seen in your fullness... to connect with yourself. Our work together will be exactly that- a space and time in which you can be your full self. We will spend time thinking and feeling together, and I will help you to hear yourself again and come home to who you already are.

I pull from various approaches, including emotional-focused therapy, CBT, CPT, and interpersonal family systems, and incorporate attachment approaches.
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that each client brings their own set of experiences, perspectives, and challenges to the therapeutic process. I believe that our childhood experiences shape out beliefs, behaviors, and relationships in profound ways. By creating a welcoming and non-judgmental space, I hope to empower my clients to explore and process their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe that each person possesses an innate capacity for healing and self-awareness.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma, particularly childhood sexual abuse, in techniques that reach the whole self, such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems ( IFS), and will work together to heal the past so that you can live fully in the present as a whole and empowered self.
Even at the hardest moments in life, everything you need for happiness is already inside you. My goal as a therapist is to work together with you in whatever struggles you currently face, to uncover your naturally occurring strengths in order to live a full and meaningful life. Perhaps you’re not living the life you want to be living. You’re unhappy, but you’re not sure why. At times, we can feel lost, numb, and disconnected from ourselves. There can be many reasons for this, and through our work together, we will understand what these are and how to reconnect, to live a vibrant, fully embodied life.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
