Have you felt stuck in a pattern of self-defeating or unhelpful behaviors or relationships? Are you wondering why that is, and how you can go about changing it once and for all? I believe that a deeper understanding of yourself leads to meaningful life changes, and I will be your partner in this transformation. My work is steeped in psychodynamic tradition, although I also incorporate elements of other approaches when clinically appropriate. While I enjoy working with patients from all walks of life, I have also been focusing my clinical work on treating creative professionals and addressing the special challenges they face.

The families I work with are dealing with caring for an aging or disabled relative. Often the issue is that their loved one can no longer function independently due to physical weakness or cognitive problems due to dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. The precipitating factor is often a hospitalization and rehabilitation in a facility. The family is at a loss as to how much care will be needed upon discharge, what will Medicare pay for, and where will the home care workers come from. I also work with individuals with early Alzheimer's Disease, who need different kinds of services, which is also very stressful for the family.

As a dedicated mental health counselor specializing in narrative therapy, my primary focus is on understanding and addressing the unique stories of my clients. My ideal clients are individuals who are navigating significant life transitions, such as immigration, career changes, or relationship challenges. These clients often feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their sense of identity and purpose. They seek a safe and empathetic space where their experiences can be heard and validated, and where they can explore new narratives that empower them to move forward with confidence.
