Everyone deserves a good life. Emotional wellness is an ability to cope effectively with life and build satisfying relationships with others. I believe the positive relational bond is characterized by personal warmth, empathy and acceptance. The positive relationship builds up the trust and encourages the self-disclosure. I will create a comfortable, supportive and reliable environment for clients where they feel more comfortable to explore their feelings, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves, set personal goals, work toward desired change and achieve the desired outcome.

It is important to have physical and mental well-being.Therapy is a process of self discovery and healing. I believe in the process and help people understand that we do it together. It takes time to work on one's issues but I believe in the process of growth and positive change. I help people recognize that you have to love oneself , feel you deserve to be happier and do the work to make that happen.I believe that people are survivors and can overcome obstacles. I look up insurance benefits for patients and do all billing to lessen patient worry over this. I provide telehealth therapy for those who work from home or are disabled

You don’t have to go through it alone anymore. Are you tired of feeling stuck, stressed, and overwhelmed in your personal life, at work, or in your relationships? Perhaps you want more from life but feel weighed down by anxiety, depression, or past traumatic experiences. Or maybe you find yourself in a cycle of getting into the same unhealthy relationships that leave you drained and disappointed. When you look around you may notice that many people are suffering in silence – but it doesn’t have to be that way. Together, we can help you heal, transform, gain confidence, and move toward the fulfilling life you’ve always wanted.

While change is difficult, it is never too late! My clients have ranged in age through 97. I see both individuals and families dealing with a large spectrum of emotional issues. I am warm, encouraging, a strong motivator, and honor each individual's unique characteristics and strengths. To that end, I try to tailor my methods to the individual needs of the client - utilizing psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy modes. As a feature of my practice, I make house calls to elderly or infirm clients in my local area.

IFS and EMDR are unique therapy models.
Trauma is BIG...and small. It comes in many forms and at all stages of life. Do you sometimes have flashbacks to events that happened long ago? Do certain words, objects, people or places trigger you? Do you wonder if perhaps something that happened that you can't forget was a traumatic event? Do you wonder if you suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Did anyone ever tell you they think you have PTSD? I use a combination of IFS, EMDR and Brainspotting to help you resolve PTSD, life conflicts and severe stressors. Take the next step to see if an All Day Intensive is right for you or regular hourly sessions if that works best.

I use IFS, Brainspotting, DBR and other somatic & brain-based methods effective for trauma.
If you struggle with inner conflict or feel disconnected, inadequate or lost, there may be deeper roots to address. Anxiety, depression, relationship issues, feeling pressure to conform to outer expectations and neglect your true Self, all could stem from past trauma. Complex trauma, familial or systemic, can lead to internalized guilt, shame or self-abandonment. You may feel confused, resentful, tense, hopeless or shut down. Yet, you are not doomed to stay stuck in this difficult loop. Healing is possible and can illuminate a path to more self-acceptance, authenticity, and better relationships with others and especially yourself.

I use extensive EFT and IFS training, at the core of all the work I do.
Have you tried learning strategies and tools to help you manage better, but you have been frustrated by something getting in the way? You can transcend blocks, to then use tools and strategies effectively. You can gain access to your innate calming, understanding, capable, loving, self-confidence. Sometimes there are roadblocks that need to be removed or wounds that need to be healed in order to proceed. Let's make roadblocks such as anxiety, depression, addiction, impulsivity, and trauma into steppingstones! Don't let it define you. Let's define it, understand it and make way for opportunities and a better future.

I bring techniques from IFS, CBT and Motivational Interviewing to the session.
I work with people whose lives are changing. They are not afraid to get creative with their therapy. They want a mental health professional who will work with them to achieve balance. They might be dealing with college, or finishing high school. They might be figuring out a job or relationship. They want to understand why things hurt so badly or why they are so anxious. My education, training and experience comes to work for them. I bring experiences as a clinician, an artist, a teacher, a daughter, a sister, a partner, a friend, and a worker into the therapeutic experience.

She uses a variety of evidence-based practices for trauma including, but not limited to, IFS and Somatic Intervention techniques.
Worried? Emotional? Indecisive? You may ask yourself, "why does everything in my life seem to be good, but I don't feel okay?" It could be a regular day or something throws you off-track, and you feel as if things are out-of-hand. If you’re feeling this way - it’s normal. In therapy, you can understand why you feel this way and focus on how to effectively address it. Therapy addresses the root cause of your symptoms. Doing so helps you bring a sense of calm and balance back into your life.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
