As a counselor, and an advocate for families, I work closely with children/adolescents that are having a difficult time dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many are seeing peace in a volatile situation or are learning how to deal with intense emotions. Family changes can also affect children, so I use integrated arts and/or child centered play therapy to help children process the grief and loss of divorce/separation and to embrace change.
