I have over 25 years of therapeutic experience working with individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with multiple issues including relationship issues, infidelity, anxiety, life transitions, grief, infertility, and parenting issues.
Often the hardest part of solving problems is finding the right person to help you. Since therapy can be an exciting, challenging, and at times a daunting process, it is important to know that you are working with a therapist who is experienced with the issues you are struggling with.

I am currently accepting new clients for both in-person and telehealth therapy. I understand how difficult it can be for some to ask for help. Whether you're considering entering therapy for the first time, or have prior experience, the first priority is on developing a sense of safety in the therapy session. Once a trusting connection is developed, I allow the client to identify their own goals. I believe therapy is about change, but the type of change we work toward and the pace with which we work, is determined by the client. I provide support and guidance in this process.

Does no one get how anxious, frustrated or checked out you feel? It's so hard to be misunderstood. Trauma, family pressure, relationship issues; these things can have you stuck in a cycle of unhappiness. These experiences may even have you anxious, depressed, and seeking relief through using substances. You’ve tried everything you can to address issues on your own and you want someone to actually help you. Despite it being hard, you're willing to ask for help. I want you to know that you can feel more connected, whole, energized, and fulfilled. I am dedicated to helping you, using somatic therapy to link the mind, body and spirit.

Let's face it, people typically don't want to seek counseling. By virtue of looking for a therapist, you're acknowledging a difficult issue in your life, one that you haven't been able to conquer on your own. Regardless of what you do for relief, it proves unsuccessful.
Counseling can help but can be very difficult. It requires that you face the issues that you don't want to have. The therapist you choose should be someone you believe can guide you on this difficult journey, helping you get to the core issues that are truly impacting your life.

People seek therapy because of the challenges that come to them through times of transition. If you want to focus on healing without having to worry about a third party monitoring your personal struggles and demanding a diagnosis, I am happy to partner with you directly, creating terms that we negotiate together. Healing is likely the most important task that you'll tend to in your adult life. I will guide you in that process without pathologizing or labeling you. Becoming the fullest expression of yourself is a worthwhile and deeply personal task, not to be compromised by political systems.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist and Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, I believe that therapy is a journey that can provide valuable perspective and facilitate healing. Intimate relationships are an opportunity for great love, enrichment of our lives and true partnership. The challenges we face in modern-day society and the lack of training we receive often equate to great difficulties within some of our most important relationships. I love relational work because we have an opportunity to create meaningful, loving and supporting relationships, but only if we have the tools to do so. Imago Relationship Therapy provides tools, a perspective shift and a roadmap. This is courageous work, that can significantly impact yourself, your relationships and those around you.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.
How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.
How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.
How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
