I approach each session with an open mind and without judgment. Creating a supportive space is very important to my work with clients and allows each session to count . I have worked with people from all walks of life and all levels of emotional and mental wellness. Over the last 14 years, most of my sessions included Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavior approaches, however I select the most appropriate clinical approach for each of my clients.

Whether expected or unexpected, we all go through changes or transitions in life. Have you gone through a major life change recently? Even though you may be planning and excited for this transition, that doesn't mean stress and anxiety necessarily go away. Now let's add a pandemic to the mix! This past year is a perfect example of an unexpected change that highly impacted many areas of our life. I think it's safe to say we have all had moments of panic, fear, or overwhelming anxiety triggered by COVID-19. Do you find that you are still struggling with these feelings?

I have been working in the social work field for over 24 years. My experience has been primarily with Adolescents and Adults who suffer from addiction and mental health disorders. I enjoy the process of engaging individuals and trying to develop a working relationship built upon sincerity and trust. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the most important aspect of any effective counseling session. I understand and recognize that each individual is unique and brings his/her different life experiences and circumstances to the therapeutic relationship which serve as their building blocks of internal change and self-growth.

To be seen and known by others is an incredible feeling of connection but it means being authentic and vulnerable. Sadly, we live in a time with the illusion of connection while being more disconnected than ever. You may feel disconnected from others and even from yourself. Though you are a gift to this world, it is often blocked and unexpressed. This may leave you feeling alone and invisible. The truth is, you may be starving for deeper connection and that starvation looks like depression, anxiety, stress, and more. When you are living disconnected, you are abandoning yourself.
