I take an integrative approach, incorporating psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behavioral therapy modalities–and while much of this work may often be serious, I am going to try to make you laugh.
I approach the challenges you bring with open mindedness and free of judgement. My empathetic demeanor, along with the interventions I utilize are very distinct in nature, as I take into account individual factors, because I know that personality is essential in developing the therapeutic relationship. Your story matters and I will ensure I create a safe space for you to be vulnerable about your experiences.

I work from a Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and solution focused perspective.
Everyone goes through periods of sadness, loss, anger, and adjustment to new situations. You are not alone in your struggles. Don’t allow anger, and resentment that grows from adversity to impair your ability to live your true life! Life can throw some curve balls and having the skills to maneuver these unpredictable situations is paramount in the healing process. Realizing you are not alone and finding a compassionate person to assist you through your struggle are the first steps. The next step is being present in therapy, willing to engage as we learn new skills to navigate this unpredictable world together. I will stand with you.

There is no “one size fits all” which allows me to draw from techniques from orientations such as CBT, REBT, person-centered, and psychodynamic therapy to best assist my clients.
Hello, I appreciate your interest in taking this journey with me! I work with ages 14 and up that are dealing with challenges such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, and many other areas through an integrative approach. I work with clients to manage and process traumatic experiences, adjust their communication, learn and implement boundaries, and so much more! Oftentimes, the areas of change are directly linked to unresolved experiences from our past, we will identify, discuss, set a plan, and follow through the journey to establish a resolution. At this time, I only see clients in NY.

Are you wondering if it’s time to do something about the way you feel or the way your life is going? Are you feeling stuck and frustrated that things aren’t going how you’d like? Perhaps you find yourself feeling disconnected, regularly overthinking and worrying, or in an emotional dip. Could there be something specific that’s been difficult to resolve, a thought you can’t get rid of, relationship concerns, an unease about life circumstances?

Psychodynamic Therapists

Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?

Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?

Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?

Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?

Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
