It is a fundamental rule in nature that creatures are born with skills they need to survive: fish are born swimming, caterpillars have the ability to make their cocoon without instruction, and birds have the instinct to escape their shells. And people, we are born with the ability to ask for help. So why does it become harder and harder to ask for help as we grow up? Emotional responses are as complex and natural as you are, but sometimes in that complexity, they can be difficult to navigate on your own.

I've been in Private Practice in Massapequa for the past 27 years, and am the owner of Counseling Services of Long Island. I am also an Adjunct Professor at a local University. At CSLI, we accept many insurance plans, and provide individual, family, group and specialized counseling for couples.
