My goal in working with you is to develop a collaborative atmosphere in which you learn to recognize and respect your own expertise and ability to actualize meaningful change in your life. I work with adults experiencing a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and family relationship difficulties.

Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone.
Although anyone diagnosed with OCD meets certain criteria, no two members are the same. Taking the time to really listen to what's causing each person's distress is essential to creating a customized treatment plan. My goal is for you to make the decisions that control your life, not your OCD. At NOCD, we specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD. Our deep understanding of the nuances and intricacies of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it. We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD.

I look forward to working with you and helping you conquer your OCD.
My approach to treating OCD is one of collaboration, aligning with the member to create a solid therapeutic relationship. I have a strong desire to help others live their best lives and a real affinity for anxiety disorders, knowing how badly anxiety can impact a person. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of the nuances of these conditions enables us to diagnose and treat them properly.

The people I work with have experienced trauma and are seeking a path towards healing. Trauma and trauma histories are complex and can look different for everyone. Sometimes symptoms can manifest in surprising ways. Many struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship challenges or have difficulty managing stress. If you are looking for a safe, supportive environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and history without fear of judgment, you are in the right place. No matter where you are on your journey, I am here to help.

I look forward to working with you and helping you conquer your OCD.
My approach to treating OCD is to use exposure and response prevention techniques while holding an empathetic and non-judgmental posture. This gives us a clear roadmap to follow as we work to interrupt the OCD cycle. Together, we'll examine the obsessions and compulsions you're experiencing, identify your core fears, and create a hierarchy of exposures. I genuinely feel so hopeful about this work—it will empower you to create new neural pathways and break free from OCD. At NOCD, my team and I provide effective treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling).

I also specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, burnout, and executive dysfunction.
I'm a trans nonbinary therapist who specializes in helping clients navigate OCD, anxiety, and sexual trauma (often the intersection of all three). I help clients understand that anxiety is not actually an emotion, but a way of avoiding bigger, more unpleasant feelings bubbling beneath the surface. Much of my work consists of aiding folks in processing their grief at the existential nightmare that is the world we live in. Using mind-body therapies like IFS and ERP, I teach clients how to get in touch with these Big Feelings without being swallowed by them.

I'm a direct and collaborative therapist. I will not force you to do anything you are uncomfortable with, but I will push you when necessary. I became a therapist because I enjoy helping others, especially when individuals are living in discomfort. I watched distant family members struggle with mental disorders, believing that therapy was taboo, resisting help when it was provided, or judging those who did seek help. As an act of rebellion, I became the first therapist in my family! At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD.

I have particular expertise working with folks struggling with difficulties of over control ( OCD, perfectionism, body image, anxiety), trauma & PTSD, as well as concerns related to sexuality & intimate relationships.
Seeking support can be a vulnerable experience, and I want to commend you for taking the step of being here today — wherever it may lead you! Whatever difficulties you may be facing, I hope to create a space where you can feel comfortable speaking freely and showing up authentically. My approach is trauma informed, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA affirming. I believe therapeutic protocols should be adjusted to accommodate people and not the other way around. As such, my practice is flexible and individualized. You are the foremost expert on yourself, and I will always trust your judgement on what feels right for your mental health.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
