Our therapeutic approaches include CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic and we seek to explore the deep impacts of others (familial, peer, and social) on the minds and spirits of our clients. Our clinical areas of expertise include: gender & sexuality, trauma, transition related support, and poly/kinky & sex positivity. Given that trauma and emotional pain often originate within relationships, we take a relational (and deeply compassionate) approach to therapy.

Not at work tomorrow, not in the climate apocalypse and definitely not reliving that time in 5th grade when your yogurt exploded in your backpack because someone threw it down the street at the bus stop as the bus arrived. Ok. Now, that you're here, take a breath. Take another one. Feel the air flow in and out. My passion is to help others meet their potential and reach their personal goals. I help others through the use of empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard (you are the expert of your life!). I enjoy helping my clients with problem-solving, but I also believe that you already have what it takes to heal. I am here to guide and support. I take a similar approach as a clinical supervisor and have many years of experience providing clinical supervision in different settings.

I have been working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and relationship issues. I also have experience working with children on Autism spectrum and with children with increased emotional needs.

As a clinical psychologist, I take a psychodynamic and relational approach, integrated with evidence-based practices, to work empathically and collaboratively with adults. Together, we will engage in an exploration of your past and present experiences with the goal of gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, giving you greater insight and control of your emotions, internal conflicts, and behavior. We will work to identify and shift patterns that have stood in the way of your goals and relationships.

In some ways I've been where you are--going through a directory looking for support and not being sure if the person on the other side is going to be able to help you. Maybe you're very clear about what you want to work on, maybe you're just not feeling like your best self and don't even know why. I've been on both sides of the helping relationship for a long time and I believe our lived experience, from our race/gender/sexual orientation to our birth order to even our line of work impacts us in ongoing, evolving ways. I'm someone who can give you honest feedback, challenge you, & hold space for your emotions with empathy.

Because no two people are the same, I strive to provide treatment that fits each person’s unique needs and goals. I hope to foster a partnership with each individual that respects their own problem-solving style, while providing additional tools to address unmet needs. I specialize in working with adults who have experienced trauma, mood disorders, and personality disorders, as well as those navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and cultural and immigration-related issues. I believe in the importance of exploring how past relationships and early experiences, including cultural factors and familial histories, have influenced how you interact with yourself and the world. Drawing on my extensive training in multicultural and psychodynamic psychotherapy, I tailor our work to meet your needs, We will collaboratively work towards obtaining your most actualized and integrated self.
