It is possible for you, for your relationships, and your family.
There are many reasons for seeking therapy, and wanting to break with old patterns of behavior. We shape our environment and make our own reality. Our work will be to understand your internal world to understand your emotional experiences. Relationships are complicated, requiring understanding, communication, kindness, and love. Feeling safe individually and as a couple allows you to thrive together. Loving children while teaching independence, responsibility, and consideration is hard, but rewarding. Co-parenting after divorce can seem impossible, but is essential for reconfiguring families successfully.

My therapy style combines interpersonal, ecological, family systems and behavioral tools in an effort to understand, embrace and uplift multiple ways of being.
Many of my clients relate to the experience of feeling "othered", different or as existing outside of culturally-constructed margins. In our increasingly isolationist world, feeling different or other is becoming a common experience. While many things may remind us of our difference, or "non-normativity", in therapy I aim to collaboratively uncover and identify the worth and purpose that I believe exist in all humxn beings. I believe that all concerns, struggles, challenges, curiosities and explorations brought to therapy are related to relationships--the relationship we have with ourselves and other people. Often, clients express a need for deep connection and goals involve enhancing relationships, identifying emotions, coping more effectively with emotions, and nourishing self-worth and confidence. Research on therapeutic effectiveness has repeatedly demonstrated that therapeutic relationship is the principle determinant of positive therapeutic outcome. Thus, when I first meet clients, client-therapist relationship and chemistry is the primary emphasis and catalyst for change.

I draw from approaches such as CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness/Somatic work, Narrative Theory, and EMDR.
Are the following thoughts familiar to you? "I feel so alone" "They don’t understand me" "I need help". Do you struggle with not feeling good enough or believe that you're failing to move forward? Whether in your romantic relationship or personally, I’m here to help you find relief. Most individuals I work with are looking to process confusing feelings. Couples I work with are often looking for support getting back on the same page; or navigating a consensual non-monogamous (open) relationship. I’m a queer woman who provides therapy to those desiring a change by actively working to change patterns they find themselves stuck in.

I am an irreverent multi-dimension professional with 30+years in human development, integrating educational psychology (Learner development - attainment, process & achievement) - focus on cognitive, social emotional, a Family Therapist and licensed Holistic Wellness Coach aiming at personal and professional life as a UNIT while validating every part of it.
My therapeutic treatment is an individual personalized plan (IPP) that starts by assessing client’s expectations and goals and progresses into a tailor-made treatment. "Starting with The End in Mind", states Covey, S., clients bring to therapy their own narratives to which expect solutions. As we unfold, several plots emerge. With the ultimate client's goal in mind, our sessions take a ride in the client’s journey thru past, present and future. Whereas seizing the present is the key, looking ahead and glancing back at the past gives it a re-significance as the past does live in our present and is strong enough to shape our future.

You're the "go to" woman for everyone in your life. On paper, it looks like you've got it all together, but inside you're on a downward spiral. The stress and anxiety of giving, caring, or catering to others has become so overwhelming that it's effecting your mental, physical, & spiritual health. You may not be sure how to regain control of your own body and mind and if you do, you have no idea (or energy) where to begin. It isn't easy for you to reach out for help, but you know something needs to change. Your life depends on it.

Seeking therapy is courageous. It is often the first step towards creating the life that you want. Therapy can be transformative and offers the potential for enormous growth and positive change. My approach is to offer my patients a safe place in which to explore their hopes and fears and the obstacles that get in the way of having a full and rich life.

Are you a creative person? Do you find yourself wanting a way to feel better about your life? Are you skeptical about therapy? Are you dreading the idea of dredging up the past or talking about the addiction that hasn't worked positively in your life? Focusing on what you want rather than what you don't want is more productive in the few sessions alotted by insurance companies these days. I believe you can be where you want in less time through a process of self exploration that facilitates and supports movement towards your true desires for creative expansion.

One of the most courageous things we can do is to begin to understand our own story. What often precedes healing, however, is profound confusion and discomfort which deters us from delving deeper within. The process of growth is often accompanied by fear of the unknown and thus, can appear a daunting task. But you are not alone. My goal is to walk alongside you as you come to know yourself and navigate the path to a happier, healthier life. More importantly, what are your goals? What makes you feel safe? Therapy strengthens our insight by compassionately confronting us with the questions we have never dared to ask ourselves before.
