I am a licensed psychologist with over 17 years of education, training, and professional experience in providing psychological services for individuals, couples, and families. I believe that therapy should consist of creating a safe and supportive environment to promote personal growth. Having worked in a variety of settings, I have a breadth of experience and training to treat persons across the lifespan with differing mental health needs. I believe that the process of therapy, whether individual, family, or couples therapy, is a collaborative effort in which I join with you to find the path that best suits your needs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (CP5059-R) in the state of Nevada. I specialize in working with clients with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. I emphasize the importance of understanding the complex interplay between physical health, mental health, and identity, particularly for those facing challenges related to eating disorders and LGBTQ+ issues.

I work with couples and families who are feeling overwhelmed with stress and dissatisfaction within themselves and with the people they care most about. Improved communication and resolved conflict can restore relationships and enhance overall well-being. Understanding your own needs and taking care of personal struggles can also be a great start.

I often work with clients who struggle with anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. My goal is to have clients leave therapy feeling authentic, self-assured, and able to create meaning from their experiences. As a clinical intern, I conducted out-patient individual, family, and couples counseling. I have worked with families with children as young as 5 years old through a Child Parent Psychotherapy approach and thoroughly enjoy working with teens. I strive to meet clients where they are at in whatever they are facing and walk alongside them.

I've always believed that my own life's journey and experiences have uniquely prepared me in my desire to help others. I am passionate about working with survivors of trauma. I believe each of us has within us, the ability to heal and grow from any difficulty life hands us. Sometimes we just need the guidance of a caring and competent therapist to carry us through. Danielle Fargo is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Reno, Nevada. Her educational background consists of a master’s degree in Counseling (Marriage, Couple, and Family specialization) from the University of Nevada, Reno, and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Danielle began her career as a therapist serving children and adolescents with significant mental and behavioral health needs. Danielle has clinical experience with families, couples, and individuals, including those with significant grief and trauma, and has trauma certifications for both adults and adolescents.

My role as an art therapist is to create space for individuals to explore intersecting aspects of their identities and to be witnessed holistically without judgment. Art has the capacity to communicate, heal, and empower individuals on their path towards mental wellness. This is why art has always been my medium of self-discovery and healing as I believe in its ability to transcend words and reach into the depths.

I am a seasoned clinician with over 25 years of experience. I have worked in-patient psychiatric hospitals, state clinics, schools and private practice. I have a great deal of experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have practical and academic knowledge in working with a variety of clinical diagnosis and every day stress and worry. I have a broad based continuum of clinical experience which allows me to quickly assess and provide helpful feedback and interventions.
