Hi there! I strive to bring an empathetic, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach to counseling with individuals, teens, and kids. I get excited about helping others find their best path to a meaningful life. Being human involves a lot of chaos in which having extra support can ease the burden. As a generalist practitioner, I use an integrative approach when it comes to treatment-as one size doesn’t fit all.

The mission of C & C Health Care Services is to enhance the well-being of the community by providing comprehensive, high-quality health care services including prevention and education with special emphasis on the medically under served and low-income populations. Our goal is to provide a “medical home” for the under served by significantly expanding access to primary care, behavioral health, addiction, disease management, prevention and educational services.

I've spent many years evaluating and observing people. What I've found is that many of their symptoms, anxiety, depression, substance abuse or other addiction issues, etc. usually stem from one or more traumatic experiences they've had. I define a traumatic experience as any event in a person's life that causes one to make a person feel unsafe. What happens next is that even if people don't remember in their mind, their bodies usually do and this causes a person to feel unsafe no matter where they are.

Your child has been struggling in school and at home and you worry that your child is not happy. Perhaps your child experienced something traumatic, or is struggling to cope with big emotions and life stressors. I am here to partner with you, your child and your family to create a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to you and your family’s unique needs and goals. Together we will cultivate healing and learning and move towards a daily life that is more comfortable and enjoyable for both children and adults.

I approach my work with clients from the perspective that mental and emotional challenges are often a sign that something is out of balance. While this imbalance may be uncomfortable, even deeply painful at times, it can be a strong motivator for change. Positive change occurs when we are willing to bring our full awareness to our lives, including the difficult and painful parts. This process is facilitated by a safe, supportive environment and a willingness to explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and engaging with the world.

Connections Behavioral Health Center is an outpatient behavioral health clinic. Connections has psychotherapists, a psychiatrist for medication management, and a neurofeedback lab for treatment of persons of all ages and mental health diagnoses.

We have clinicians on staff Monday - Sunday and on evenings and weekends via telehealth.

Josee' Perrine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience in the mental health field as a Mental Health Counselor and clinical supervisor. She is the recipient of a Senatorial Award for her work with families. She has a strong background working with individuals who have severe mental illness; schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and personality disorders, as well as mood disorders, anxiety and PTSD. In addition to her clinical work, she was an instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno, teaching classes in family interaction.
