I am a big believer in peace and happiness, so I strive to assist my clients in incorporating these things into their own lives. I am a Licensed Social Worker – Therapist and graduated with my Masters of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2020. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in 2015, I, by chance, obtained a job in the mental health field as a Psychosocial Rehabilitative Specialist and almost immediately knew this was the field for me. I have a passion for working with people, all types of people and enjoy watching them reach their highest potential.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I will be helping you gaining insight and understanding of your challenges and finding tools to handle Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship conflicts, marital issues, communication skills, life skills, social emotional skills, personal growth, parenting skills, crisis management as well as self esteem self worth. I am passionate about my job and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I am here to guide and support finding your wellness path which will lead you to a more fulfilled, healthy and meaningful life.

My first professional license was in Addiction Counseling from Triton College in Chicago, IL. A decade later I attended the University of Nevada, Reno, for my MFT license and earned an Educational Specialist degree in Counseling & Educational Psychology. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in various levels of treatment including, Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient settings. My specialty is working with co-occurring disorders of mental health and addiction.

As a military spouse and mother of five, I'm very aware of the sacrifices military members, veterans and their families make. Many of these same experiences are shared by first responders and other individuals who experience cumulative and ongoing trauma as a result of their line of work. I specialize in providing services to military and first responders. I find myself working best in the space between brutal honesty and authentic compassion. I am passionate about what I do and believe that my passion and experience are what allow me to effectively help, helpers.

All the way from the desert planes of Arizona, I have made my home in the city of Reno for the past 10 years. I fell in love with the four season aesthetic as I acquired both my Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Reno. Outside of treatment, I have two other jobs including teaching part time at my alma mater and volunteering at my local Teamsters union supporting labor workers. Outside of work, if I am not fighting off dragons with my friends in D&D, I am either going through old cookbooks refining my chef skills or sipping tea with my family in the backyard gazing at the stars.

People often come to me because they are experiencing effects of complex trauma, life and relationship stressors, caregiving, or chronic illness. I frequently work with emerging adults who are navigating the transition into adulthood, with all of its promise and challenges. Therapy is a space where we will work together to understand the stories that have made up your life to this point and the stories you would like to live out in your future. You can expect for me to meet you with curiosity and care to support your movement toward hope and meaningful change.

Coming to terms with the possibility that we may need support of any kind can be difficult, and once you’ve identified that need, finding a therapist to best suit your needs may prove to be even more difficult. It is paramount to our practice that client-centered treatment begins with your peace of mind, clarity, and feeling a strong presence of therapeutic support. We have clinicians on staff Monday - Sunday and on evenings and weekends via telehealth.

Looking for guidance in transgender and gender non conforming resources, I am here to help and guide you through this journey. I work hard to make a difference in peoples lives and help them find a positive and hopeful life. My clients learn to build strength and confidence in themselves working through trauma and healing their inner child. I am also a military veteran and currently serve in the National Guard. I am passionate about working with veterans and their family, and know the struggles they face.
