This pain causes people to seek comfort externally, in food, drugs, relationships etc. This pain may be perceived as a result of someone else, or something external and it is normally handled by coping. There is a way past coping, a way to learn what this pain is telling you about yourself. There's a way to perceive pain as a friend and embrace the lessons it teaches us about who we are. With a background in Solution Focused Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, together we will work from a Strengths-Based approach to establish a personalized therapeutic intervention and treatment goals. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples to help explore matters of depression, anxiety, loss/grief, trauma, abuse, performance anxiety, and PTSD.
