I’m here to provide connection and healing for people who use drugs, queer and trans folks, people doing social movement work, and anyone else who feels lost, confused, or disconnected. I work from a harm reduction and trauma-informed perspective to help you reconnect with who you are, what you value, and the skills you have to create agency and autonomy in your own life. I'm interested in the intersections of healing and liberation, and am excited to explore with you how your own healing contributes to a liberated future.

I am an inclusive Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who strives to make each client feel heard within a safe environment. I have experience working with members of various communities including the LGBTQIA population, sex/gender diverse persons, individuals practicing ethical non-monogamy, and are in non-traditional relationships.

We see individual, couples, and families in areas of addiction, sex therapy, kink conscious, fetish, trauma, life transitions, anger management, relationship issues, monogamy & ethical non-monogamy, grief, work issues, sex positivity, mood changes, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+, identity base trauma, feeling stuck, negative habits, grief, and co-parenting.

We live in a world of countless binaries, expectations, and assumptions about our lives, and escaping them in order to come into our own can be an incredibly difficult process. Perhaps you are here because you are struggling with obstacles in your life, or feel lost and unsure of what's next for you. Perhaps you are struggling with your identity or your personal relationships. Whatever the reason, you have already begun the process of seeking help and that means a great deal. I am licensed in the states of California, Idaho, and Nevada and can offer telehealth to clients in any of those states.

It takes courage and vulnerability to be able to talk to a total stranger who may become a trusted counselor helping in your healing from trauma. It takes self-love, strength, and self-empowerment to witness yourself on a new journey in your life. Many of my clients in the past 25 years were both women and men seeking healing from childhood trauma, domestic violence,anxiety, PTSD, BPD,mood/emotional disorders, LGBTQIA+ population and the military families. I work with individuals, and couples. Healing and transformation can be a hard work. You do not have to feel alone. We can start this new journey of transformation together.

I work with clients to explore the nuances of what it means to be human and live a deeply fulfilling life. Many of my clients are innovative survivors of oppression, abuse, and harm, while others are coping with stress, anxiety, or climate grief and building resilience in the face of uncertainty. I honor my clients' creative strategies for coping with our challenging world and emphasize their many strengths during therapy. I work with clients to explore their identities, process their experiences and emotions, and carve out pockets of joy in their lives.

I enjoy joining my individual clients and couples/relationship clients on their walk towards goals they feel will help them create the life they want to live. We can choose to take any obstacles we might face and examine them with a lens of curiosity, understanding, and compassion. I hold the personal and professional stance that we build resilience through diversity and honoring all parts of ourselves: past, present, and future. This helps to organize our goals and to make room for any potential growth edges that need to smoothened out. I lead with my whole self into meetings and I invite anyone I work with to do the same!

Liberation Psychotherapy is a private LGBTQ-centered group therapy practice. Our foundational philosophy is based on the meaningful engagement between the therapist and client and achieved using Carl Rogers’ client-centered techniques of active-listening, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Liberation Psychotherapy’s primary mission is to help clients explore their experiences thereby clients can heal and grow and embrace their strengths and resiliencies. Accepting new clients. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families via Telehealth (video) and view this process as a collaborative one. We all experience struggles in life. Raquel O'Neill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Nevada who has been practicing since 2016. Raquel offers clients empathy, compassion, genuine care, and the ability to provide different perspectives. She provides a steady guide to healing or questing for answers. Raquel has been trained and has experience with trauma informed therapy, CBT, DBT, grief and loss, coping to life-altering adjustments, solution focused therapy, radical acceptance, and is one of only two Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapists in Nevada to help those experiencing vision loss at any age or stage of life.

I like to work with people who are motivated to make the changes in their lives to achieve happiness and feelings of well-being.
