I have had the great fortune of serving the Clark County community for over 26 years. My training and experience have been both in private practice and as a public servant, providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents and families, individuals, groups and couples. I have been humbled and privileged to witness so many people recognize and internalize their truly best selves and to finally start to live lives to their best potential. I am grateful for the past 26 years and look forward to serving for many more years. I specialize in attachment and trauma; family systems and relationships to name a few.

Accepting New Clients - Life can be overwhelming to handle alone. I'm here to help you develop skills to think and view yourself differently and perceive the world from new perspectives in a safe, non-judgmental space. As an immigrant and intimate relationship violence survivor, I have a huge passion for supporting individuals who struggle with past/ongoing unhealthy intimate relationships trauma, attachment injuries, low self-esteem, racism, language barriers, and interracial relationships and helping them reclaim their authenticity and life. I am also one of few Asian LGBTQIA+ therapists in town :)

Seeking help during a challenging time is a courageous first step in your healing process. Therapy with me is a non-judgmental exploration, a collaboration between me and my client(s) so they can evolve into the fullness of who they truly are. We’ll work together to uncover the underlying factors creating tough issues and develop the necessary skills to address them in an effective and efficient way.

Working with adults and couples to help them overcome their difficulties, handle their grief, work on skills to handle their symptoms, and/or process their trauma, with compassion and empathy, is my goal. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), a Licensed Clinical Supervisor, (LCADC-S) for the Nevada State Board of Examiners of Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors, I am an approved secondary supervisor for the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage Family Therapist-Interns and/or Clinical Professional Counselor Interns. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR Therapy) and certified in Safe and Sound Protocol, (SSP) both of which are evidenced based modalities for treating trauma, anxiety, and other distressing life events.

Whitney specializes in Parts & Memory Therapy, which means she is trauma-trained to provide rapid and permanent relief from problems like PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Prolonged Grief, Codependency, Relationship trauma, and Divorce. Clint enjoys working with couples and individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds. Clint has experience and interest in working with couples, trauma, men issues, grief, anxiety, depression and other issues that can create adversity and uncertainty in ones life. He believes individuals are the experts of their own lives, and by collaborating together, clients can find new solutions and new perspectives within their life. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and primarily treat eating disorders; such as Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder, as well as other eating and weight-related issues. Among patients who have a diagnosed eating disorder, there is a high rate of comorbid mood and personality disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, Substance Abuse). Typically, treatment involves targeting eating disorder behaviors and most often behaviors that also affect mood and overall quality of life. My practice philosophy follows a "non-diet, intuitive" approach to eating and managing ineffective eating behaviors.

I believe the best work is done with a therapist who meets you where you are while challenging you to meet your potential. I am a compassionate and patient therapist and clear communication is my style. I work with individuals and couples who have experienced trauma in their lives and in their relationships to create new patterns. I have experience and training working with women dealing with perinatal mental health concerns including: Pregnancy and /or infant loss, infertility, postpartum depression, and anxiety. I am experienced working with couples who have experienced betrayal trauma.

My name is Dr. Smith, and I've dedicated over 20 years to improving Communication, Conflict, and Confidence (Trust) among couples. As a professor of counseling at the University of Arkansas and married for 32 years, I've applied hands-on experiences in my approach. Being able to overcome personal crises like homelessness and alcohol addiction, I utilize these experiences to empathize and empower my clients.

Most of my clients have experienced some kind of trauma and typically have experienced complex trauma. They need someone who is willing to listen without judgment, to meet them where they're at. My clients often express experiencing rigid environments (within their family growing up, abusive relationships, or possibly their religion) that have caused elevated stress responses. We will find ways to cope with that and process these past situations so they are no longer distressing. Therapeutic services can help piece all of their parts together so help them make sense of their situation and feel comfortable in meeting their goals.
