We have multiple clinicians who specialize in a range of populations and treatment needs including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma, c-ptsd, sexual abuse, relationship issues, and family conflict.
*ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS* Although we're located in Clark County, we also serve all areas of Nevada. Coming to terms with the possibility that we may need support of any kind can be difficult, and once you’ve identified that need, finding a therapist to best suit your needs may prove to be even more difficult. It is paramount to our practice that client-centered treatment begins with your peace of mind, clarity, and feeling a strong presence of therapeutic support. We have clinicians on staff Monday - Sunday and on evenings and weekends via telehealth.

My experience includes private practice and work with courts, state/county divisions of child and family welfare, foster care/ adoption, high schools and colleges, My expertise extends to adolescents and adults focusing on attachment, trauma, grief and loss, anger management, adjustment to sudden life changes, depression, anxiety, and parenting.
We are all involved in a constant effort to balance our lives; to restore belief in our own power to face challenges that are sometimes overwhelming. We want someone to hear our story in a safe and non-judgmental space in order to gain fresh insight into our own abilities and to recover from the initial feelings of helplessness and confusion. Individualized guidance, can lead to the discovery of one’s own strengths and a gradual movement towards solutions that can be developed, in partnership, to restore that balance that we all strive to maintain when challenges leave us without answers, defeated and feeling powerless.

The younger the child the more important it is that the parent(s) and family be an active partner in the therapy.
Our mission is to advocate for couples, children and families with mental and behavioral health needs, To ensure that each client is provided with the means necessary to gain independence, self esteem, better coping and problem solving skills to reach their fullest potential in social and emotional growth. Life events such as parental job loss, family stress, health issues, divorce, domestic violence, frequent anger and hostility between parents, step-parenting, single parenting without support, to name only a few, can derail healthy development and create a cascade of escalating behavior problems at home and in the community.

I practice the belief that all people deserve to live authentic, fulfilling lives. Psychotherapy helps individuals to develop an active and genuine expression of one's self. People have a great capacity for growth and change, and having a knowledgeable guide during that process is incredibly helpful. Relationships with others are a central component in our lives. Partners, children, parents, family and friends influence and impact the way we live day to day. Even relationships from our past can affect the way we feel now. I have a particular strength in helping people understand and change relationships.

I enjoy working with clients from all different walks of life, backgrounds, and experiencing a variety of issues. A large part of therapy is developing a trusting relationship so we can have honest conversations about what is working vs not working in one's life. Change is challenging and I love working with clients that are up to that challenge. Through working collaboratively, I work with clients to make SMART goals to make changes to improve their well-being and/or quality of life.

I've spent many years evaluating and observing people. What I've found is that many of their symptoms, anxiety, depression, substance abuse or other addiction issues, etc. usually stem from one or more traumatic experiences they've had. I define a traumatic experience as any event in a person's life that causes one to make a person feel unsafe. What happens next is that even if people don't remember in their mind, their bodies usually do and this causes a person to feel unsafe no matter where they are.

I specialize in helping adults, teens and couples heal from childhood trauma and grief. My clients grapple with daily tasks that can feel overwhelming and connecting with others often becomes a challenge. Fear of judgment or rejection can lead to withdrawal, resulting in feelings of loneliness and isolation. Symptoms such as low self-esteem, trust issues and intense emotional dysregulation make it difficult to reach out. Sleep is often disrupted by nightmares and flashbacks can bring back painful memories. Healing from trauma symptoms is possible and you don’t have to do this alone. With the right support you can reclaim your life.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
