Hello! I would be honored to meet with you. Often, clients come to find healthy ways of coping with stress, anxiety, depression & to process thoughts & feelings in a supportive environment. They are frequently interested in improving relationships, leaving abusive partners, experiencing more happiness and fulfillment in life, & attaining meaningful goals. As each person is an individual, therapy is tailored to your unique needs and wants. I provide therapy to individuals & couples. Clients often say I'm easy to talk to, compassionate, and accepting. I am Tena Prestidge, LAPC at Canopy Medical Clinic. I offer evidence-based treatment for individuals dealing with mood and anxiety concerns, life transitions, relationship stress, and trauma with an emphasis on LGBQIA, Trans, and non-monoheteronormative affirming care.

I specialize in children and adolescent therapy for young people aged 6 to 17 years old. My focus is helping children, pre-teens, and teens understand themselves in this BIG world. The caregivers I work with have all sorts of questions such as: “why does my child act this way?”, or “why do they react like this?”. Maybe feeling stuck or like a “bad parent”. Some children may experience events and/or ongoing hardships in their lives that impact their ability to cope. My mission is to help kiddos and families move forward in life with a sense of safety, connection, and empowerment to live a fulfilled life.

Katie works with a variety of mental health concerns while specializing in relational issues, identity exploration, body image concerns, and complex trauma/PTSD with an emphasis on domestic and sexual violence. She uses an array of evidence-based approaches including Relational-Cultural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In my early years I was taught to be kind and respectful of others and that carried me through many trials and tribulations. Through my life, I have found a deep desire to be there for the people who feel like no one understands them. I have over 10 years of experience providing therapy and assessments in womens health, chronic illness and pain, adjustment to medical illness, pre-surgical evaluations and helping individuals meet their general mental and health behavior goals.

I am a Licensed Psychologist (LP) in Minnesota and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in North Dakota. I have two locations - one in Moorhead, MN and the other in Fargo, ND. My education and professional background are quite diverse and include knowledge, skills, and experience in the areas of medicine, education, counseling, psychological interventions and testing/evaluations. I specialize in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and personality disorders. Since, she has augmented her experiences and specialties to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Positive Psychology, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and has completed doctoral training in Forensic Psychology.
