Are you a highly driven person with a plate that’s always overloaded? If you answered…“all the freakin’ time.” Then you’re in the right place, Welcome! To those around you, you appear very much together. Meanwhile, on the inside, you feel like you’re having multiple silent panic attacks. Anxiety pops up over everyday things, mistakes you’ve made, circumstances that don’t go according to plan, or an unexpected event that adds more to your plate. You’re dodging anxiety bombs of varying sizes and when they do go off, it leaves you feeling an overstimulated mess.

OCD is highly treatable. If you're struggling with OCD, you don't have to do it alone. Getting started is the hardest part, but by leaning into the process, you can accomplish things you've only imagined. As a therapist, I'm collaborative: I’m here with you on the journey, but you are in control. I can offer warmth and support when needed, and I'll challenge you when necessary. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of these conditions enables us to treat them properly.

Anxiety is like a fingerprint. Each person is unique. Some people worry a lot about a bunch of things, others have obsessive or sticky thoughts about certain things, and some people fear very specific things like flying or social embarrassment. Others may struggle with body or somatic concerns - like fear of cancer or fear that if they stop monitoring their breath they may stop breathing. Some people fear losing people while others fear being around people! Frankly, fear and anxiety are so personal. Aspects of effective counseling are going to be different, depending on your anxiety patterns.

Making the decision to go beyond your present stress or challenge is the first step. Finding the right support is the next. I believe we all have great potentials that stress can derail. When this happens, we experience symptoms. Trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss, life transitions and physical reactions to stress are common concerns for many. I will work with you to develop the best strategies and create your own toolbox to live your best life; to go beyond the challenges in your life, find new paths and transform old patterns.

I am the sole provider at Better Boundaries Counseling. I am so glad you're here. I have been a licensed counselor for the past 10 years and have had the privilege of working in many diverse settings throughout my career (psychiatric hospital, tribal college, juvenile corrections, and private practice). My favorite thing about the counseling process is meeting a new client for the first time as that is where the work begins. It provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other and ensure it is a mutually good fit. I aim to be authentic, honest, kind, and welcoming with my clients.Forming a strong relationship is my priority

I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. I believe it is my job to meet clients where they’re at and provide services specific to their needs. I am honored to be a positive change agent in the lives of those I work with. I believe in a holistic approach, not only considering the person as an individual, but as part of a greater working system.

I enjoy working with women experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, including trauma-related disorders, and women experiencing emotional health concerns in the context of chronic health conditions. I am also a strong advocate for those experiencing neurodiversity (ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder). I specialize in helping individuals identify the specific nature of their concerns, including differential diagnostic assessment and inclusion of psychological testing, if appropriate. Clearly identifying these concerns leads to improved outcomes, helping individuals grow in a way that is meaningful to them.

I work with women to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and boundaries. I have a special passion for premarital counseling. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to dig deep, engage in present-day issues, and are ready to be empowered to make changes that will impact the trajectory of their future. I love to help clients develop self-awareness and use handouts, podcasts, and books as resources to take therapy outside the office.
