I specialize in psychotherapy for children, adolescents and young adults ranging in age from 9 to 25 years. I am a North Dakota native, worked with children, youth, and adults in a variety of different settings and professional roles since January 1979, and in private practice since January 2010. I will always work with the client to determine the best treatment focus, and method, in an open and collaborative manner. I utilize an eclectic range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, Solution & Strengths Based Focused strategies.

My 18 years of experience working with adolescents, teens, and families within the juvenile justice system and in community-based programs, has shown me the impact others can have on those who are facing challenges and unhealthy behaviors. As someone who specializes in trauma, I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Marine Corps veteran experienced in using a variety of theories (including CBT & ACT) to help clients dealing with symptoms such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship issues. My background includes experience at North Central Human Services, The Domestic Crisis Center, and North Dakota State University Counseling Center.
