Have you experienced trauma, grief and loss? All these have been a part of my past experiences so I can identify with you. I can help via in-person or telehealth/zoom. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a technique that assists my clients with soothing anger, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss among other issues. I customize my treatment approach to each person and their story. I am a Christian counselor who is fluent in Spanish. I have been practicing since 1999 and teaching Psychology and counseling courses at the graduate level since 2006. I train counseling interns how to become counselors.
My clinical expertise has been working in private practice primarily with trauma related cases, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression among other psychological disorders. I believe that each person is uniquely special and different. I customize my treatments and use EMDR as a treatment technique in combination with a Cognitive Behavioral approach.
My clients find that I am compassionate, genuine, and warm. I primarily use a person-centered approach as I work with my clients and you can expect undivided attention with empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard.
