Seeking therapy can sometimes feel daunting. My goal is to help guide and support you through whatever life stressors you may be experiencing in an open, caring, non-judgmental environment. I am passionate about working closely with clients across their lifespan struggling with a range of personal issues. I strive to provide a safe emotional environment to help clients feel at ease discussing their concerns. I describe my approach as collaborative, authentic, and relational, and strive to prioritize cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship with clients.
I have over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families. My therapeutic work uses IFS infomed, Relational, CBT, DBT, ACT and Strength Based strategies to help client's reach their goals. In addition to my work with my clients, I also have help from my four-legged partner, Magnolia, an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen.
I received my Master of Social Work degree from UIC in 2000. I have worked in a variety of settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital unit, partial hospitalization eating disorder program and private therapeutic day school. My specialties include depression/anxiety, relationship concerns, eating disorders, and trauma.
