As a nonbinary trans guy and gender affirmative therapist, I know how scary it is to interact with providers who are poorly informed about issues facing the trans and nonbinary community. Having a clinician who is informed and affirmative can make a huge difference. I specialize in helping individuals navigate their gender journey and provide support to the LGBTQIA+ community. Since we are more than our gender or sexuality, I also work with a variety of other issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, general life transitions, self esteem, assertiveness and boundary setting, to name a few.
I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and on crisis teams. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, & families. I draw from a variety of therapeutic models such as client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I will tailor my approach to your strengths.
As a member of a minority group, I both understand and appreciate what it means to struggle.
