Hi and welcome to Albuquerque Therapists. I'm a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LPCC) providing Telehealth throughout the state of New Mexico. I enjoy working with both men and women who are highly sensitive, anxious, or are going through a life transition and would like support and guidance. I believe you're the authority on your own life but would be honored to assist you in learning skills or exploring alternative perspectives to feel more calm, resilient, and empowered.

I feel the basis of good therapy is the relationship between the therapist and their client/clients. I seek first to create a trusting safe space for my clients through being present and actively listening. I am eclectic in my counseling and use my intuition and the client’s preferences in choosing a modality. I truly enjoy the art of therapy, and have decided to do what I really love: helping people on their life journey in a creative fun way. I take my client’s emotional life very seriously, but try to approach them with light, creativity, humor, all while teaching real skill building.

During my career, I have worked with various populations including adults, children, adolescents, and couples. I have specialized in treating adults with depression, anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, relationship problems, and those experiencing major life changes and losses. I see my purpose as helping an individual feel more in control of their Iife and not allowing the past to control them; to ease anxiety and eliminate depression.

Many clients come to me having felt unseen, unheard, and dismissed in the relationships in their lives. Or have told they're too "emotional" or "sensitive." I'm here to provide a safe, nurturing space to help repair and heal patterns of invalidation. Therapy combining nonjudgmental listening and solid, practical tips can help repair these wounds, improving your relationships and self-esteem. I will give you tools to help balance and make sense of your emotions so you can work with them. I also provide Brainspotting, a method for safely processing traumas, as well as other body-focused therapies, to soothe your nervous system.

In working with clients who may be struggling with their identity and past trauma, I recognize the importance of understanding the complexities and nuances of their specific situation. I am committed to providing a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach, tailored to the unique needs and experiences of each individual.

I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1992. As one can imagine, my treatment approach has changed and evolved during that period of time. I am a depth, existential therapist, and work with adults who are experiencing a life crisis or transitional phase in their lives. My hope is that clients who enter my office will feel a sense of calm and acceptance, and find a place where they can express their deepest truths and concerns without judgement. I incorporate dreamwork in my practice, and have attended Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara furthering my training in dreamwork.

Such experience includes helping clients with issues related to stress, anxiety, trauma, sexual assault and abuse, depression, domestic violence, Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD), codependency, women’s issues, workplace issues, and relational issues. Therapy? Who needs therapy? Not you, right? Yeah, that's what I thought too. After all, we should be able to just "handle things" without the help of some head-shrinker, shouldn't we? The truth is, you probably don't need therapy. You're not going to stop breathing without it. Another truth is that life is full of pressure and stress, and it's hard for anyone to handle it all alone. Many of us are dealing with childhood or adult traumas, anxiety and depression, and trouble trusting others. We don't always know how to reach out or ask for help.

By providing a safe, supportive environment in which clients can explore difficult issues, they begin to find their voice to express themselves, while gaining personal insight, and starting on a path of healing.
