At Social Butterfly Counseling, we work with children, families and adults. When working with children and families, we partner with guidance counselors, teachers and administrators to help families navigate complicated school systems and access the resources they need. We provide children with tools to handle the expectations and issues they encounter in school and in relationships. We guide couples in exploring effective ways to co-parent and communicate with each other and their children. And we collaborate with pediatricians, school nurses, psychotherapists and other medical professionals to help our clients manage anxiety, depression and other forms of mental illness.

Change is inevitable. It doesn't matter if you are going through a marriage or a divorce, employment, new addition to a family, illness, or a sudden death of a loved one - the energy it takes to adapt to new circumstances is highly stressful. This stress can create havoc with your body and life goals. Through many years of listening, I have grown to understand the complexity and depth of the impact of these changes on an individual. Hello, I am Divya Gupta-Torres. As a clinician, I have worked in a variety of settings including, inpatient psychiatric units as well as a wide range of outpatient mental health services that provided individual, family, couples, and group counseling using a wide range of modalities. In addition, I have an extensive amount of experience working with individuals and families facing the unique challenges of substance abuse. Some of the settings in which I have addressed these challenges are inpatient substance abuse treatment crisis intervention services Intensive Outpatient Programs and Methadone clinics.
